37482 545 Pneumatic/Hydraulic Thread Sealant Bottle - 36 ml

Worked Great. Stopped a water leak at a pipe fitting that I’d been having problems with.

A couple of drops is all it needs for a perfect seal. No more air leaks from my pneumatic fittings.

Just got done using the Loctite 545 with primer 7471 (Required with stainless steel) and also used 5452 (Gel Version, No primer required) and they are awesome. What "I" key word "I" as a novice could not do with teflon tape and pipe dope these products were able to. Not only do they seal really well, but they also create a tight bond like other loctite glues. Again, these two products are specifically designed for Pneumatic use. IMOP, they are very expensive and not practical for everyday useI on a job site. works fine to seal fittings of my 6 x 4 bandsaw hydraulic downfeed control piston.

I used this Loctite 545 on all the fittings in my methanol fuel line setup for my project, and it has been absolutely flawless. Not a single leak anywhere. It applies clean, seals perfectly, and holds strong even under vibration and pressure. This product gave me total confidence in my fuel system, and I definitely won’t stop using it. If you’re working with methanol or high-performance setups, this sealant is a must-have. Highly recommended!

This is an incredible alternative to teflon tape. There are times that the tape is too wide for some threads, and the liquid threat helps tremendously. I did try to use this for a shower head, it did not work. It's not advertised for use with low viscosity liquid(hydraulic fluid is more viscous vs water) but it was worth the attempt. You're also supposed to use yellow teflon tape for gas applications, which is not widely known. Regardless, this is a great product and I recommend.

I recently had a brake line rupture on an older vehicle that resulted in a potentially fatal near miss. It was a real wakeup call. When I replaced the entire braking system, I decided to pay close attention to every detail and use quality parts. I used this product on every fitting, and unlike Teflon tape, which is arguably an amateur's hack, this is made for the application. Of course, it's for many hydraulic applications, but when a braking system is so critical to your safety, your family's safety, and everyone else's, why mess around? Do it right.

Tried everything to stop a leaking Fel controller with no lasting effect and was forever replacing O rings. Although pricey I decided to try this Loctite for Hydraulics and it has solved my issues! I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

Después de darle servicio a mi compresor, no encontraba la manera de que no tuviera fugas de aire. Intente con tanto Teflon como pude, incluso sus variantes industriales pero nada conseguía sellarlo. Probé con este producto, no teniendo muchas expectativas realmente y mi sorpresa fue que ahora no tengo ninguna fuga. Es importante mencionar que si se debe de dejar secar al menos lo que indica el producto (24 horas) aun que por el clima frío lo deje una semana. Lo recomiendo TOTALMENTE.

This was recomended by some repair personnel and it worked great for my connections that were leaking using another product. However, this has to sit for 24 hrs to be 100% effective.
