Carpet Shampoo, clear, 128 fl oz (Pack of 1)

I have a Hoover Smartwash machine and this solution has been an excellent alternative to the more expensive Hoover solutions. I usually have to wait for Hoover products to go on sale to do my house deep cleaning - I have 2 indoor cats and 2 dogs, and multiple rugs, so there are a lot of fabric surfaces that need to be shampooed fairly often. When I rescued my 2nd dog a few years ago she was not house trained and peed on all my hardwood floors. At that time I used a lot of Zep floor cleaner (I forgot which one) to get the urine smell out - it was the only brand that worked after trying ~5 other popular and recommended brands made specifically for dog urine (including Nature's Miracle, which did not touch it at all)... So when I noticed Zep also had a shampoo machine solution I knew I had to try it. Bonus points for being less expensive than the Hoover solutions I've been waiting around to go on sale. So far I've used it on the seats of my car, my couch, and my living room rug and I LOVE IT. I didn't think my car seats were very dirty looking to begin with and mostly just wanted them to smell fresher but to my surprise this solution pulled up a lot of grime and made turned the water brown - I had to go over each seat multiple times, it pulled up so much yuck out of them! Guess they were worse than I thought! My couch had never been shampooed but always has a cover on it that I wash every week and I didn't think it would be that bad either, but same thing - had to go over it multiple times because the brown water just kept coming! It smells significantly better now, and was all dry by the next day. I only remembered to take pictures while doing my living room rug, but you can see how gross the water gets (A.K A. how well this solution works). My car seats and couch were the same way. I've only done one pass on the rug and it already stopped smelling "doggy". The smell left by this solution isn't overpowering or super perfumey, which I also appreciate. I purchased the 128 ounce bottle and after using it on my rug/car/couch I have about half the bottle of solution left, so a little goes a long way. I'm actually excited to see how much grime I can get out of my SO's car seats next!

The Best carpet cleaner around that I've ever used. It is concentrated so it goes further because you add water to it. This product is easy to use. It is Very Gentle on my carpet and last a good bit of time . I clean my rugs weekly and it is amazing to watch as it takes the dirt right up without having to scrub. All in all the effectiveness is worth the price to get a clean look, fresh smell and soft feel to your carpet. Highly recommend.

We used this in a Rug Doctor and it worked really well. Low to no foam, light clean scent and must importantly it got the dirt out of our carpets. We have light carpets and it had been awhile since we cleaned them. We had also has visitors with pets that had accidents. It cleaned up any dirty spots in the high traffic areas and cleaned the pet areas extremely well. I like that the next day there is no residual smells and the carpets feel clean and soft. Great product at a great price!

Zep premium carpet shampoo is a hidden gem . With kids and pets constantly tracking up my carpets I was searching Amazon for a quality cleaner in a larger size with cost savings .. And while very familiar with the Zep brand and quality in a commercial industrial setting I had never used their products in my home until I saw it on Amazon and knew if it was true to the Zep reputation in the commercial field it would excel in my home as well. And wow I was definitely impressed ! This product outperformed every big name carpet cleaner I had used in the past in my homeowner model carpet cleaner ! Little to no smell other than the smell of a good cleaner , some products on market do a crappy job but leave a pleasant floral smell .. this product is about doing exactly what you bought it for cleaning your carpets to the highest level giving professional results for the average homeowner with heavy traffic carpets. It has removed everything it faced on my carpets dirty boot tracks muddy paws and occasional animal accidents it has not failed once against any stain I have used it against. While compared to easily available big box carpet shampoo this in my machine seemed noticeably more foamy / soapier which made this product an excellent value imho having completed the carpet cleaning the first time rather than multiple cleaning to remove the same dirt / stains. You will not be disappointed in the performance and you will surely appreciate the value this cleaner provides in the 1 gallon size ! Tony G. I liked this product. I do have to use a LOT of this for it to actually remove the stains. My carpet cleaner is 1 gallon of water so I have to pour about 12 to 16 ounces depending on what I’m cleaning. It does not have a strong smell in the end which I like and it does make the carpet much cleaner.

I own a residential cleaning company, so I’m very particular about the products I use and recommend. Carpets can hold onto an unbelievable amount of dirt, odors, and residue, especially in busy homes with children and pets. I tried the ZEP carpet solution because I wanted something strong enough for heavily used areas but still reasonably priced for regular use. The solution was easy to measure and worked well in my carpet-cleaning machine. It lifted a noticeable amount of embedded dirt from the carpet and helped brighten the high-traffic areas. The carpet looked refreshed after it dried rather than feeling stiff, sticky, or coated with product. I also appreciated that the scent was clean without being unbearably strong or lingering for too long. As with any carpet solution, I recommend vacuuming thoroughly beforehand, following the dilution instructions, and avoiding the temptation to use more product than necessary. Using too much solution can leave residue behind and actually cause carpets to attract dirt faster. For tougher spots, I would still pretreat them instead of expecting the machine solution to remove every stain by itself. Overall, ZEP performed well and gave me the kind of clean, professional-looking result I want for both my own home and the homes I service. It offers a good balance of cleaning power, ease of use, and value. I would purchase it again, especially for routine carpet maintenance and high-traffic areas.

Pet carpet, shampoo. Shampoo for your pet carpets... It's been a while since I shampooed the carpets in the house and bought this jug and then purposely misread the label because it just sounds funny. No stink from the shampoo which is great, carpet shampoo usually stinks and leaves a harsh chemical stank lingering in the air for days. This has almost no scent at all. No stains even when I let the shampoo soak for an hour by the doors. Does it's job removing stains, dirt, cat hair, and other stuff from the floors. I fill the Bissell with very hot water, start with heavy traffic settings and do several refills and moving down to mild traffic and eventually just water for the final rinse. This shampoo works better than the Bissell brand stuff btw....and cheaper. In another ten years or so I'll buy another jug and do it all over again. I do have a fairly large house so I used almost the entire jug, but again, I also do several passes. Good value for the amount you get versus how much a normal person would use to deep clean carpets. If I can get the upholstery thing to work I plan on cleaning a few chairs and rugs.
