A very stout lock, it's worked great so far for securing a construction site storage space.

Im a big believer that you get what you pay for and this product justifies the $160 price tag. This thing is BEEFY. I purchased this for my outdoor shed that contains easily over $5,000 of power equipment and tools so i am not about to skimp on security and rely all my hard earned investments to a $20 deadbolt. I feel confident that this will do its job and not fail. If there is a break-in, they will have to destroy the door or the door frame. Instalation is easy. The hardest part of the install is trying to hold the bar & plates steady to mark out the holes on your frame for drilling (this thing is Heavy). Great product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was stunned at the robust construction. my wife was laughing hysterically " a fort knox lock for the outhouse" inserting 3/4 pipe inside the bar will prevent a 18" diamond wheel from cutting through because once past the outside face it will hit the pipe and spin, no more cutting. thankyou

Finally, a lock that keeps trespasses out

The moment I opened the box I knew I had a high quality and heavy-duty product. The only reason someone would buy something like this and if they needed something to be heavy and tough. I just installed them today on two buildings that are in a part of town that is pro to squatters. We are at the stage where we are doing demolition in anticipation of the renovations. Hopefully these will keep people out at night. The only downside that I have that I can report is that the carriage bolts that were supplied should have been at least a few inches longer. I had to improvise with some additional parts from the hardware store in order to get them mounted. The other thing I would say is that's the hole in the exterior place should be square and size to fit the carriage bolt so that they cannot turn when the nut is being tightened from the inside. However this is not as big of a deal because once you get it tight enough it's not going anywhere oh, just a small detail. Hopefully these are up to the task, if they are not I will update my review. But for now I am very pleased. Fingers crossed for how things go tonight in what is a very tough location!

Simple installation. Beefy construction. Attractive as a door bar could be. My business front door was broken into a month ago. The alarm frightened theives away before they could steal anything but the damage was done to the front door. Cost of repairs was over $300. This product will deter would be theives from attempting to "pop" the front door again because this door bar can be seen from the street and is obvious it would take power tools to defeat it.

I bought this bar after my shed was broken into and my yamaha scooters were stolen. This will 100% make it harder for anyone to get in it. The only issue I face is during the winter, water settles on and around the bar and freezes . Simple solution being a hot pan of tap water. Slides right open. Overall I recommend this to anyone that wants to protect they're belongings before you regret not having it.

Great product a little flimsy at longest extension for widest spand of you door project but overall a great heavy duty security product
