Wedding Singer, The: Totally Awesome Edition (BD)

The Wedding Singer is the rom-com we didn’t deserve but absolutely needed—a glittery, goofy, heartwarming slice of ’80s heaven. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore? Total perfection. Their chemistry is sweet, awkward, and so freaking adorable it’ll make you believe in love again... with a side of hairspray. Sandler is at his absolute best here—charming, hilarious, and yes, kinda dreamy (especially when he sings “Grow Old With You” 😭). And Drew? She’s pure sunshine wrapped in lace and teased bangs. You can’t help but root for them from the first awkward smile to the final note. The soundtrack slaps, the fashion is fabulously ridiculous, and every side character is either hilarious or heartwarming. It's got sass, soul, and just the right amount of sentimental cheese. 5 stars. If you’ve ever loved, lost, or just appreciate a man in a ruffled tux crooning his heart out—this one’s for you. 🎶💒💁‍♀️

Total 80's! One of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymores best!

Such a FUN ADAM SANDLER MOVIE. 😍 🥰 😍 loved every minute of it. Drew is do adorable as usual. Adam is always hilarious. The plot was gooo fun. The story was engaging and keeps you laughing. I love his song in the end. Its a classic go to when you want some fun entertainment. Its one of those you can watch over and over again. I had already seen this movie several times, but had you buy it. I know its money well spent for me. Especially since I do not go to the movies.

What a great movie. Full of laughter and comedy. I watched it with my 14 year old daughter to bond. It was great! A little movie trivia: the last scene on the airplane where the Adam Sandler character sings to the Drew Barrymore character, Drew refused to let Adam sing it to her before the scene. She wanted the first time she heard it be during the actual filming of the scene. So her reaction is genuine, real, and unfiltered.

If you don't already know that this is the greatest movie of all time then you need to buy it so you can find out. And if you have already seen it then you need no convincing.

Funny movie ! This is one of the cutest movies and I have watched it at many times. I actually owned on DVD and was visiting someone and had to have them watch it with me. The 80s references are awesome, great cast and good acting. (Adam Sandler but not happy Gilmore Adam Sandler if you can relate. He’s Great in this role as is Drew Barrymore) If You haven’t seen it and you’re into 80s nostalgia I recommend. You might want to watch it just for the cameo with David Bowie. 😎

Our wedding-singing star has had an interesting career. This film seems to mark his transition into the more modern, sometimes disgusting, movies we see today. This film was still miles better than those. When local wedding singer Robbie Hart, played by Sandler, is dumped by his fiancée the day after their wedding that she didn't show up for, he spirals down into a nervous breakdown that sadly is fun to watch. Along the way, he befriends Julia Sullivan, played by Drew Barrymore, a waitress preparing for her own wedding to Australian businessman Glenn Gulia, played by Matthew Glave (yes, they do point out the future couple's name situation.) Their relationship blossoms and feelings soon develop, all while the wedding plans move right on ahead. This film has the corny moments that many of Adam Sandler's early films were known for, but they were sweet and the plane scene at the end was especially fun. While he is childish at times this is a version of Sandler that can be more easily related to as opposed to his later characters. That makes the film better and more engaging...and again, the corniness, which is sometimes extreme, is ultimately sweet for the most part. Enjoy.

Makes you almost want to fall in love

This movie is an absolute masterpiece. Totally underrated. Not sure why this isn’t available on any video streaming services hence why I had to go all old school and purchase the DVD. Let me tell ya, it’s worth it. Possibly my best amazon prime purchase. Worth. Every. Penny. The movie in itself: this is back when Adam Sandler used to do good movies and not the meh material he’s been putting out nowadays. Classic romcom. Always in my heavy rotation. You’re welcome.
