Review: Great Book for iPhoneographers - And I'm Glad I Have an iPhone - Just received my pre-ordered copy of Kat Sloma's great new book. I enjoy her writing style and the easy to understand instructions. The illustrations/photographs and iPhone screen shots are all wonderfully combined to help with the art and technical aspects of iPhoneography. This is why I purchased this book. I've been waiting for a book on iPhoneography from somebody I already knew produced great images. I love all the examples that Ms. Sloma included in the book and the instructions for using the apps. I'm one of those artists/photographers who like to have the written text and the pictures to help me understand where I want to go with my iPhoneography. From everything I've read online, iPhoneography means everything from the initial image capture through the editing process needs to be done within the phone. This wonderful book will help me in this goal to get better with my iPhoneography. Thank you, Kat Sloma, so much. I love my iPhone 6 and I love learning to use the fun and exciting apps available. I am so glad I'm an Apple lady and can take advantage of this great book. I already follow Ms. Sloma's blog (www.kateyestudio.com) and participate in her annual Liberate Your Art postcard swap. If I lived in Oregon, I would sure enjoy taking a class with her in person. In the meantime, I've got this great book to reference. This wonderful book will help me in this goal to get better with my iPhoneography. Thank you, Kat Sloma, so much. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in creative and novel uses for a tool (mobile phone) most all of us carry around with us on a daily basis. Review: I have wasted so much time trying to extract trees from their ... - This book is for anyone who uses an iPad, even if you donโt use an iPhone. I transfer my images from my android phone to the iPad using Photo Transfer App. I have been doing digital manipulation of my images on an iPad for some time, but I think I had gotten in a rut. The second half of this book, where the author goes indepth on using blending modes, layering, and recombining images really opened my eyes. I have wasted so much time trying to extract trees from their backgrounds, when using blending modes solves the problem.

'Art with an iPhone' is a winner!
Let me start by stating I have had the opportunity to view the artistโs work at many art events in the Pacific Northwest. I have purchased several prints. I have always been intrigued knowing the work was created on an iPhone and when I heard about this book being published I was very interested to โlook behind the curtainโ so to speak. I have also had experience with the author in a corporate environment and seen firsthand her ability to lead large teams and teach so I had high expectations in regards to learning โhow toโ in an efficient and easy manner. I was not disappointed. The writing style, instructions, illustrations, and phone screen shots are all carefully blended to help the reader with both the โartโ aspects of photography and โtechnicalโ aspects of the tools and software. After reading I feel I could move forward and begin to practice techniques and methodologies that the author shared to create my own iPhone photography artwork. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in creative and novel uses for a tool (mobile phone) most all of us carry around with us on a daily basis.

Apple should include this book with every iPhone purchase!
This book is a must have if you own an iPhoneโฆeven if you donโt take pictures. Why? Because after reading this book youโll want to. I only wish it had been published over a year agoโฆthereโs so much I had to learn the hard way. Just the first four chapters would have saved me months of learning by trial and error. Starting with chapter fiveโฆChoosing a Camera Appโฆthe book takes you on a creative journey with the ease of having written text and pictures to lead the way. Kat has the unique ability to put technical information in easy to understand terms with real life examples so we can easily apply the information to our own images. Before you know itโฆyouโll be inspired by the content of this book and youโll begin calling yourself an artist!

This is one of the most thorough books on I-phone artistry I have found. The upfront basics are great for the beginner but a wonderful review for all as things change regularly. My favorite sections are the sections on the Apps and how to use them. This is a must buy for all level of users.

This book is the best.
This is without a doubt the best book on this subject I have ever read. It has opened up a whole new world of iPhone photography for me in its clear concise suggestions and explanations. My iPhone has become my very best friend thanks to this author and at a time when my photography was becoming stale and uninspiring.

GREAT APPS AND TECHNIQUES
VERY CREATIVE USE OF OUTSTANDING APPS. ONE APP IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND THAT IS ALWAYS THE ISSUE WHEN RIGHTING A BOOK. I LOVE HERE IDEAS AND EXPERIMENTS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF HER STYLE.

Brilliant guide to iPhone Apps & techniques
Well laid out book starting with the more basic techniques. She does use a wide variety of Apps - this can be rather confusing. I had to keep flicking backwards & forwards to follow which app was being used & when. But like everything when starting on something new especially where Digital processing is involved you just have to keep at it. If you want to create complex images on the iphone I think this book is essential.

This was given as a present to a young man with some time on his hands - who is going to do a lot of travelling. He really appreciated it.
