Why is this almost twice as much as the retail price on dji site

I found the wireless connection same price everywhere!

Does this have its own battery or does it drain the Pocket 2's battery?

There is no separate battery, but it drain the pocket 2 battery

Can I use other brands of Bluetooth wireless mics with this device? Other brands are far less expensive.

There is the normal round plugin jack. I use Rhode. You should be anything with a standard plug in, or a dongle to attach.
