This product worked GREAT!! The seam on my RV couch ripped. I was worried a thread and needle wouldn’t work with the unique material, but I was wrong. This product provided very thick thread and a curved needle which made the DIY fix possible for me. I’m by no means a seamstress but I followed the easy instructions for a “seamless stitch” on the back of the packaging. The only flaw was my own with the scrunching at the bottom.

Not perfect but probably operator error. Instructions were hard for me to follow but again that’s probably just me. Anything beats what I had before. The yarn is fairy strong and the needle holds up well for heavy boat fabric. Looking forward to my seats discoloring so it blends better.

Great product, straight forward and easy to understand photo instructions. I don’t have a lot of sewing background especially with leather or a car at that. For a major beginner I'm impressed at how easy this was to do. Worth the purchase and my car is fixed for cheap! Took my about 15-20 minutes to complete start to finish with taking my time.

It’s a good idea but it actually tore through the leather I was trying to stitch up in my car. I’m still giving three stars because for a smaller tear, I think it probably would have worked (and it was easy to use).

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this a while ago but haven’t used it until recently. We have a pontoon boat that the seams on the seats had started to rip. I went out with this kit to fix 3 split seams I was very happy to see 1) how easy it was to use and 2) how good it looked.

Used to re-seam vinyl cushions on my boat. Once I learned the best technique, it was smooth sailing. If you reference the pictures, you can see on the second pic that near the corner, the stitch is not nearly as tight. One of two major points is to start where the fabric will have the hardest time coming together. Second, as you work your way down the seam, every 5-6 passes firmly pull the thread to get the seam tight. Eventually, there's enough force on the seam that it will hold itself in place and have the flush finish you are looking for!

maybe im doing something wrong but i broke all the needles almost immediately trying to puncture the vinyl on my boat seats. my intention was to repair the ripped seams but these did not work for me. would likely work on a thinner material but vinyl and likely leather are not gonna fly with this.
