Why did we have to pay gbp 3.50 unpaid postage? delivery was not as per the tracking. i have photos of the re-delivery and the fee request.

does the alarm on the timer only stop when i manually stop it

Actually it's the opposite. As the timer is driven mechanically, once the timer expires it can only ring the bell for a very short time and then it will never sound again. Actually, this thing is pretty crappy and the bell sometimes will only sound for much less than a second, and if you miss it then you miss the timer. Sometimes it wasn't sounding at all, especially if you need a short time like a few minutes. This timer was so bad, it went in the bin and bought a digital one instead.

Can you set the timer for 30 Seconds?

Wouldn't be easy, as the "notches" are one minute apart, so judging where 30 seconds was wouldn't be easy. For that, use your mobile phone.
