Cuisinart CNTB-422 Simply Grilling Nonstick Grilling Basket

Used it to grill scallops & veggies so far and worked beautifully for both. Lightly coated w/cooking spray 1st and was extremely easy to clean afterwards. Handle remained cool during use. Extra long handle was helpful too. Opening and closing basket was easy. The adjustable height is nice as well as it prevents foods from sliding around or bunching up. No issues with seller either. Item arrived quickly & was packaged very securely. Overall very happy with purchase. If you're looking for a grilling basket, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one.

I have had a couple of this style baskets in the past and they did a great job but did not holdup. This Cuisinart basket is great quality. The basket is much heavier and more sturdy than previous ones from other manufacturers and the closing device is much easier to use. If I could give 6 Stars I would.

It is functional but I wish it has a locking mechanism for the handle; it can easily open if you are not careful. We have only used it once and placed it on the top rack of dishwasher afterwards. I’m disappointed that some of the coating (paint) chipped off.

This grilling basket is a must if you grill fish. Living in the Pacific Northwest, salmon season makes for a lot of grilling of fillets. Have this basket makes it a much easier process to get a properly cook a fillet without it sticking to the grill or drying our the fish. Placing it in the basket allows for you to easily turn the fish without worrying about the skin burning or sticking. This is huge if you want a nicely cooked piece of fish. Being able to control the meat easily makes all of the difference. It's also great for any other meat that you want to control without destroying it when it's time to flip it over. No more losing a burger through the grill grates...…. The locking mechanism works like a champ and the handle is long enough to keep your hand and arm hair in the safe zone so you don't burn yourself or your hair.. Cleaning is a bit of a pain, but so is anything else that resembles a grate. Give it a soak in warm soapy water prior to scrubbing and it comes clean pretty easily.

This grill basket was to replace the same model I've used weekly for two years but which finally self-destructed. The design isn't perfect. I concur completely with other reviewers who note the crummy handle clasp. But having tolerated it till now, I was willing to tolerate it some more. Unfortunately . . . I'm baffled by what arrived in the mail. Either Amazon shipped the wrong model or (more likely) Cuisinart left out key pieces. I'm getting a refund and seeking a different manufacturer.

I got this to cook a bunch of lamb t-bone chops and Sam’s club pre cut’s them. So the issue we had is if the meat is too thick a cut this will not latch closed because the locking mechanism pops back out and you cannot secure it to keep it closed. We tried to flip the lid 180* to make it work for thicker cut’s however the bars don’t align to secure it closed that way. The flaw is not having a sliding part to hold the lid for sight variations when closing.

The Quality can be felt right when you pick it up, nice. Handle length is perfect. Adjustable for thickness and locks in place securely. Non stick is a great feature too. I like to get it warmed up, spray it a bit and lay my fish on it...or whatever you're cookin'. AND I'll bet I could split a 4-5 lb chicken and lay the whole thing in there ! Wish I had this all along.

A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for: high quality, sturdy cooking device. Veggies, fish, delicate meats? No problem! Just be safe when you clean the non-stick metal mesh and this device will last a long time. Highly recommended.

Easy to clean. Chicken did not stick to it. Design means there is a gap on one side between basket and surface of bbq. Makes it hard to get an even cook

I've cooked bacon and burgers over the fire a number of times with this, and it works exactly like you want it too. My only complaint is the handle is a little short, but if you have an oven mitt or something for grabbing it you'll be fine. I suggest making sure you have a grate over your fire, or just some rocks properly positioned to set this thing on as it'll get pretty heavy if you're just holding it yourself. Never had a worry my food would fall out, and easy enough to clean.

its construction seems very sturdy. However when doing thicker veggies (like baby potatoes) the clasp that is supposed to keep the basket shut, pops open and risks dumping its contents. I'm going to rig something additional to the handle to keep it closed. Also if the handle was collapsible or removable then it would fit in the dishwasher, as its designed now you have to hand wash and after being on the grill its can have some burnt on material. I feel this basket has potential but needs a few design improvements.
