Great price. - Style: 5/5 Comfort: 5/5 Noise Reduction: 4/5 Build Quality: 5/5 Audio Quality: Lows: 4/5 Mids: 5/5 Highs: 4/5 These headphones are wonderful. I lost a pair of headphones I had for the previous 5 years and was devastated. I wanted to stay in the $40 range for headphones, without sacrificing the quality I had in my Panasonic Slimz from before. In my office occupation, having headphones is really helpful to knock out the noise of the folks around me. These do the trick really well. They also look really sharp and are quality built. For sound quality, I compared them with several brands at a local office max. These performed better than every pair there, except for a pair that was selling for $100. Even the $60-$80 pairs sounded worse than these. And the other headphones in this price range like the SkullCandy UpRocks sounded just terrible by comparison. The vocals don't sound quite as crisp as my panasonic slimz, but the overall feeling of the music is more immersive and better. I really like these headphones. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone. Review: Incredible sound per dollar - I own both the Audio-Technica ATH-M30 Professional Studio Monitor headphones and Audio-Technica ATH-770COM Stereo Headset. Both really solid headphones. The ATH-770COM are a little stronger on the bass than the ATH-M30 but still have a fairly flat eq and a great sound from highs to lows. These are on par with the ATH-770COM which makes me very happy with the purchase since I mostly wanted great sound, but with a mic that wasn't just awkwardly sticking out when folded away, and a bit of good looks to boot for a great price. Happy to say the inline mic also picks up well and is very clear, the buttons feel great and operate my iphone like the default earpods would. Compared to the 770COM these are nice n light and the padding is incredibly comfy. They also fit really well since it's not pictured, but the headphones can rotate, on top of extending and folding.

Better Headphones than you would expect.
I got these headphones about 4 months ago and waited to write a review to see how well they held up so i could formulate a good enough understanding of the product before i wrote a review. I'm currently a college student that needed a decent set of headphones without spending the 120$ i thought i would need to to get a good pair of headphones, i saw these pop up on my feed and for some reason i went ahead and pulled the trigger. Initial Thoughts: Right out of the box these headphones are aesthetically pleasing, the brushed stainless steel really does provide them with a cool look. As far as comfort goes the rubber pads around the ears are very soft and comfortable, its almost like they are already worn in, except the material is as good as new. The adjustable design allows each side to move to 11 different notches meaning regardless of your head size these things will fit. The only problem with the fit is sometimes the very bottom of the ear cups doesn't fit as tight as i would like it to, that being said they do still make contact with my skin, so it really isn't a big deal and can be fixed by moving the top of the headphones slightly higher onto the crown of my head. The sound in these headphones is way better than i would have expected. There is crisp and clear highs as well as booming bass, the only thing is that the mids are sometimes a bit muddy, but only when there's a lot of sound coming through. Durability: As I said above I have now had these headphones for a little over 4 months. I should let you know that i keep very good care of my tech things and my headphones most of all because i can't be anywhere without music. After 4 months the headphones work, look, and feel, exactly the same as they did out of the box. I have been very impressed by the durability of these things, I have had no issues with wire static or anything of that sort. Plus since the wire isn't permanently connected to the headphones if something ever did happen chances are it could be fixed by buying a new auxiliary chord. When the cups fold in to make the headphones a little bit more compact it doesn't feel cheap at all, the make of these things is way better than i would have expected. Overall I love these headphones and never even came close to regretting my decision to buy them. As with most things if you take care of them they will last, and for 29$ it isn't even that big of a risk. I definitely recommend getting this if you are ballin on a budget like I was. Now don't be confused, noise isolating technology simply means that the ear cups block noise only because they are an obstacle in the way of sound waves. That is something completely different than noise canceling. Do not get those things confused and you will not be disappointed.

Wow! - then - Oh no!
Finally! Headphones that can handle heavy bass without it stomping all over the music -- no mushiness -- there's more of a subwoofer effect where the bass is felt rather than heard. I've searched for just this type of headphone for years, but either the bass is overwhelming, or there's an indistinctness, a fuzziness involved where there should be clarity. My listening preference is a heavy bass presence, but finding phones that achieve this without overpowering the music and my ear drums seemed impossible. I've sampled a wide range of music with the Riot headphones -- classical to techno et al. -- and I'm extremely pleased with the crispness of the upper registers and the heavier bass line handling. Further, these phones managed to produce an unexpectedly good sound from my really-old-not-so-great-overly-compressed mp3 files. Finally, the bonus with these phones is the style and build quality. When I opened the box upon arrival, I was struck by the brushed metal and black minimalist design and the offset R on the band. The soft triangular shape of the ear pieces fit one's ears perfectly (vs. the common doughnut-shaped type). And, all the materials, down to the cord connections, look and feel top grade. Given that audio is extremely subjective, I can only describe my experience. But, for an all purpose headphone that can successfully manage beat, bass, and higher registers, Riot Project Headphones deliver. Update - After just 9 months and minimal use, the wire connection to the jack malfunctioned creating a static sound, intermittent audio, soft audio, and no audio at all. I suppose the connection is shorting out, or it's partially disconnected somehow. If I wiggle the wire, sometimes audio is restored, but then it's lost again if the wire moves at all. I immediately e-mailed the manufacturer and requested replacement headphones (described the problem, the minimal use, and the date of purchase) - I never received a response. This is too bad - I loved these headphones.

Some good, plenty of bad, but not returning them. I like them, but...
I want to love these because they're so slick looking but there are a few design flaws. Not enough to make me return them, but definitely needs an update! The Good: - Great sound for the money! - The removable jack is a great detail. - They are so slick. I get compliments on them all the time, and I love supporting a new, up and coming tech brand. - The leather is soft and supple and they're not terribly heavy. I don't get any fatigue when wearing them for long periods of time. - They stay clean pretty well. I've had to shlep them around for a few days without putting them in a case or bag (not included) and they've stayed unscratched and unsmudged. - They're so big and obvious and expensive looking that my coworkers definitely leave me alone when I'm wearing them, assuming I'm listening to something either very serious or loud or both. Probably my favorite part about these. The Bad: - Any of the components that swivel or bend catch hair like CRAZY. Like, not a strand or two - it's always a small clump that rips out of my head. I basically have to brace myself each time I take them off for a little torture. - They don't fully fold in which makes them awkward to transport. - They do *NOT* work with a phone - maybe mine are defective, but the microphone component isn't effective. People on the other end said I was really hard to hear, like I was far away. - Within a few uses, the volume up and down button got loose and cheap feeling. The "This would make them AMAZING": - Better fit for smaller heads - my noggin isn't crazy small, but i still feel like they're gapping at the bottom of the ear piece OR the arch is about an inch from the top of my head. There's no snug fit, which affects the sound, how loud I can get my music, and I have to constantly adjust when working out. - They need a soft case, especially since they don't full fold in. They don't fit in a ski goggles bag, so I'm still on the search for a better solution.

Good quality LOUD headphones.
Great quality headphones. The cable it came with has deteriorated in the months I've had it, but that doesn't reflect the headphone quality in the slightest. I mean occasionally I can't hear anything, but that's the cables fault not the headphones. I'll pick up a replacement. I use these for Podcast Mixing and Mastering. The depth of tone is remarkable for the price. It suffers a little in the lows, but a glance at the documentation will reflect that. Don't buy these if you're in headphones for the bass or treble. Also really loud. I keep my computer volume around 10-20%. When at 100% I can hear them across the house with clarity.

Im not sure how to feel... I mean I won't lie they are awesome but....you WILL fell awkard.
Now I recently purchased the Sentey Headphones for 39.99 that came with a carrying case, and superb build quality. Now for 40 bucks the sound was very nice, with more emphasis on the bass, but drowned at higher pitches. So now I find this headphone where I was especially captured by the design of it. The Riots are a very nice looking headphone, I wont lie, I feel like I wasted money on a simple design and different looking ear cups apart from the Sentey Headphones. The Sentey's came with a case, while the Riot's don't. I mean they practical sound the same. Just because it covers the whole ear doesn't mean it's worth 10 dollars extra. In fact the Riot headphones don't make a proper seal around your ears, due to the ear cups matching the structure of the ear. When wearing the headphones the top part the ear is covered while the bottom is just a little bit open. I could feel the air coming in my ears when playing music, but hey, at least my ears cool down. Now i'm not bad mouthing these headphones, they do sound good. Im not sure about sound leakage because when taking these off at medium volume, I could still hear the sound clearly, so BOY ARE THEY LOUD. They are practically the same build quality of the Sentey Headphones with a soft touch, plush earpads, but too much padding on the headband. Seriously, this is the first time I ever had a problem where TOO MUCH padding was an issue. Now something that I love is that my ears feel SO DAMN FREE. I mean, my ear's don't feel like there are earpads around it. And its just very comfortable. However I just feel for the price of the Sentey's vs The Riot Headphones, the price does feel awkward when choosing between the two. Also upon taking the headphones out the box, I noticed that when I when holding them, the left slider is popped more then the right, as well as the "RIOT" symbol outside of the ear cup. So I'm telling you, the first time you wear these YOU WILL FEEL AWKWARD.

good product
I bought these headphones as a present because they look stylish and seemed to be of good quality. So far (1 month) the product is worth the money. The headphones are comfy to wear and the sound quality is good, they are well isolated from outside noise (sometimes even too much ;) ). The presentee is very satisfied.
