Pleasantly Surprised
I recently joined a water aerobics class and wanted to purchase a set of water weights for my own use. After doing much research I found what I was looking for with these weights. They're strong, durable and show no signs of wear and tear after a month of use in the town pool; twice a day, six days a week. The triangular shape makes it easy to vary the resistance by a flick of the wrist. The weights come in three types of resistance: light, medium, heavy. I chose the heavy set and was glad that I did. For me, these weights added just enough resistance to give your arms and abs a good workout. The set also comes with an exercise book that shows different ways to use them. I found that many of their suggested activities I was already doing with my water aerobics class, plus a few more that were new to me. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and I encourage anyone who is contemplating a purchase of water weights to give these a try.

Great for water aerobics
Work well for doing all kinds of exercises in shallow or deep water. Great icebreaker as people are intrigued by them and want to try them out for themselves! (I have another set that is medium resistance that I "lend out" so I can share the fun while continuing my workout.

The Delta Weights are better than the round ones (
Ok, the Delta is for the triangular shape, like the Greek letter delta, which, wouldn't cha know it, is triangular in shape. The triangle part is the part that makes it better than the round weights. I take water aerobics at my neighborhood pool and have tried both types--the triangles are better because they are less bulky and you can hold the two closer together without having them hit together when you work out. Less bulk means you can hold better form with arm work. They come in three levels of resistance but only the medium and heavy have "delta" in the name. Don't ask me why, but I talked to the company that makes them and they give the really light ones a different name. But they all have the same triangular shape. According to the company rep it's not how much they weigh, like normal weights, that determines the resistance, but the grade of foam they use. Nice weights, and they hold up well for years. Write your name on yours if you take them to the pool, because someone might decide to upgrade at your expense ( : hope this helps

It gets deformed shape after few uses.
It arrived on time, looked like to be firm, but after a few uses in the pool, the short edges started to loose shape & became deformed. Is it too late to return it to AMAZON.COM? I did not try to find out, for up till now, the deformation did not make a big difference with how it performs. The bottom line is DO NOT BUY. I do not know if there are another factory that makes such units which will keep its shape intact for as long as it is used.

Size of 17" Blue
The description lacks important information such as the size of the 17" Blue barbell so here is that info. Dimensions of the side of each triangle is 7.25" Width of each triangle is 3" Spacing between triangles is 5.3" Diameter of the bar handle is 1.5" I would be helpful if someone with the 7.5" Blue would post their measurements

Great Water Exercise Tool!
The AquaJogger pamphlet included work out ideas using the Delta Bells. After using the AquaJogger in my pond and loving it, I decided to invest in the Delta Bells. They are a great tool for enhancing a water workout. Starting with the AquaJogger exercise suggestions for incorporating the Delta Bells lead to me eventually coming up with a lot of different variations. It is really important to bend limbs slightly in the water when using the AquaJogger or Delta Bells to avoid injury. It is really important to be aware of this, because it is easy to use straight arms and legs in the water.

A good addition to my water workout gear
I just bought the set of AquaJogger Deltabell Pro resistance weights, because the rec center where I go for water aerobics doesn't have enough of the maximum strength water weights for everybody in our class. I was hoping that since I got the "maximum resistance" they would be a good substitute for the ones at the pool. (I don't remember their brand name, but they come in a variety of colors, with blue providing the most resistance, yellow a bit less resistance). The ones I bought provide the same resistance as the yellow ones at the pool, so I'm a little disappointed, but I do like the triangular shape because they don't roll away when I set them on the side of the pool. The cushioning in the bar part is excellent, and they are comfortable to use -- I just wish they provided a little more resistance.

They work.
Just starting using them about a week ago. They're light and handy. I didn't think I would get enough resistance with them. When I used them it didn't feel like much resistance until I realized my muscles were getting tired after a few minutes. I use them for resistance and for floating and kicking.

I tried my friends - her's were round and made by Speedo but weren't available on amazon at the time I ordered these. I ordered the medium because of the other comments. I don't 'love' them but they are ok - now I see the speedo ones available. These are lighter and I don't feel give as much as a work out as the speedo. The round shape seems to give more resistance then the triangular. I will keep on using these instead of returning but my preference was the round.
