Been perfect for us
We have an adjustable bench press that we hate. It's too tall, too wobbly, and too heavy. We ordered this and it's been perfect. It was very easy to assemble and the construction seems solid. Took me about 15 minutes by my lonesome. It's very light weight so moving it around the home gym is easy. It's very stable, which makes it less worrisome when benching heavy. The height off the floor is perfect, allowing us to plant our feet flat and generate leverage. We only have 300lbs in weights, so that's as high as we've tested it's weight tolerance, but I (215) can comfortably bench the 300lbs without feeling like I'm taking a risk, although I don't think I would go much higher than 315 and save the heavy days for when I have access to commercial grade equipment. The only negative I have is that the overall length is kinda short. This is good for saving space, but I have found myself in position where my head isn't fully on the bench. I just have to readjust the bench in relation to the rack, but a regular commercial bench is definitely longer. I feel I can recommend this for anyone that is trying to cost effectively build their home gym who will NOT be going over a 300lb bench. If you are pressing more than that, I would suggest you invest in commercial grade gear. With COVID-19, we have made the decision to build our gym the way we want and forego memberships, so I will eventually replace this with a more robust piece, but will keep it around for other uses since the quality is good. As a side note, Gold's Gym memberships are a pain in the rear to cancel...

Zero complaints
Come Sept, I would have owned this bench for six years. Three times a week, zero complaints. I've always used a beach towel to cover it during workouts and the first of each month I would flipped it over and tightened all the bolts. Still looks great and still solid.

First impression: great for $40
I was a little reluctant based on a few negative reviews, but I thought it was worth giving this a shot for $40. I almost bought the Reebok bench for about twice the price, but decided to roll the dice. I think it will suit my purposes just fine. Assembly: Instructions weren't much (basically two diagrams of all the extruded parts), but there are basically only 4 parts you have to put together... the two feet, the main frame, and the top of the bench. I'd say I got it together in about 15 minutes and I'm not especially handy. This is a $40 bench, so I'm guessing the negative reviews are quality control issues, which is not too shocking for something at this price point. All the holes lined up for me and it went together pretty easy. The design for the foot attachments could have been a little easier (tight fit for the wrench). This is not a heavy duty bench. The first time you pick it up, you'll feel it's crazy light compared to a bench you'd find at a gym. That said, it should be fine for my uses... basically some ab work, work with light dumbbells, split squats, etc. On the positive side of that, the fact that it's light will make it very easy to move out of the way when not in use, but obviously that means it's not as sturdy if you're trying to throw around a bunch of weight on it. I'm rating it as 5 because it's just what I need -- if I bought it planning to use this in a heavy-weight set up, I might rate it lower. ------- EDIT: One other comment regarding some other reviews: I did notice this is slightly wobbly when I have it directly on my basement floor. I think this is actually due to my basement floor not being level rather than a problem with the bench. I usually have it over a rug and it feels solid there. If it's a bit wobbly directly on a hard surface (concrete, hardwood, laminate), I recommend putting it on a rug or those usual gym squares. I think that would resolve it... I should probably break out a level and see if it's really the floor or the bench that isn't quite level, but keeping it on the rug is working fine for me.

A fantastic weightlifting bench
I love this bench. I bought it 10 years ago for $40. I'd buy it again at its current price. The thing is I don't need to. The bench I bought 10 years ago is in excellent condition even after years of regular use. I imagine taller lifters may consider this bench a bit short in length, but its size is also why I love it so much. Small enough to tuck away when not in use. Light enough to move with ease. Its a very simple, sturdy, lightweight bench that does the job. Can you fold it? Nope. Can you change its angle? Nope. It doesn't have bells and whistles, but its usually the bells and whistles that break on products. If you are in the market for a basic weightlifting bench, look no further.

100% quality product
I just put this together yesterday. At an $80 price point, I was stunned at the quality. The legs are one unit, secured by four bolts to the bench. The legs and feet are over-designed, very hefty, with large, squaqare, solid feet, and secured to the legs with four larger bolts. Everything about this bench says quality for price. To be clear, this is not the heaviest bench out there. I have a Bowflex bench which is more heavily made, but at a considerably higher price. I'm not going to jump on this bench, it's not made for that. But for routine bench exercises with all kinds of weights, it more than meets my needs. Also, despite the quality components, it is not heavy to move around. For what I want it for, this product is an exact match. This bench would make me look twice at other Marcy products as well. Last word of caution, this is in the light to moderate weight bench category. This is not your product if you want a very heavy duty bench, which would weigh and cost much more.

Sturdy, well built and easy to assemble!
This is a pretty "normal" bench but the quality is great, it's sturdy and it's super easy to assemble. It is on the pricier side, but it does the job! I've been using it for almost a year now, and it still working and looking perfectly fine.
