Is the 2.8 inch dimension the button feature size? Is the 0.2 dimension the back thickness?** A: Yes, 7.1 inches is the overall diameter. 2.8 inches is the button size. And, 0.2 inches is the thickness at the outer most edge of the plate. It being somewhat thicker in the middle. **Q: Just installed mine, is the button ok/supposed to be a little warm?** A: It does get pretty warm to the touch, and you can expect the light to burn out in about 18 months. Not sure why an LED replacement is not available. **Q: Light bulb is out.
