Excellent 100% recommend it very good.
waaooo ..! Excellent 100% recommend it very good. I really needed to move a little water in a dead zone, and now my fish are muchoo more cheerful, areas with canidad have moved to my tank force. This pump works perfectly for an aquarium (marine or fresh) of 42 liters (11 gallons) works and does the job of moving water.Ahhh for people who say according to critics, this pump does not make noise .. all. I settle easy, fast and very safe. You must install it in just the right places to move water. In my case, I installed from the top down (diagonal) below the water level just 5 cms .. HYDOR ufsss units are very good.Tip: You must give a minimum maintenance every 2 months. (If you see dirty).this is a very good pump and small chicken egg size and excellent price.

You wont hear it
Great product and pump. Has a lot of strength and water flow is wonderful when you use it. Most of all its quiet and you don't hear it. I wish this company made a wavemaker. The size isnt too small for a nano tank making it easy to position. The larger sizes do tend to jump quite a bit in size and weight.

Sturdy, silent and trouble-free; attaches strongly and easily
I received this a few days ago. It was well-packaged and very well made, with high-quality materials. It makes no sound at all--I have to put my hand in to see if it's turned on. I got it for a 20g tank of panda garras, who are said to like strong currents. I had read reviews of it buffeting smaller fish around, but it does not seem unusually strong to me. These 2" long fish happily cavort right in front of the outlet for hours and have no problem maintaining their position. Floating plants are not blown around the tank either. It's just what I was looking for. Enough current to make fish happy and prevent dead zones in the tank, but not so strong as to make swimming challenging. The ULTRA-quiet and strong-but moveable magnet were two big pluses.

Great Little Powerhead For Biocube 14
I've had this over two months now and can say this is a great little powerhead perfect for the Biocube 14. It has a strong rubber coated magnetic suction cup that holds very well and is as silent as a mouse. I never notice it running whether unplugged (for feeding and water changes) or while running. It has strong flow but not too over powering that it kicks up sand or is too hard on soft corals. Just enough to keep a nice flow throughout the tank. The only reason I gave it four stars is that it doesn't always like to stay in the direct I put it. It is able to be directionally adjusted but the design is just a ball in socket style and the tug of the cord and whatever else makes it always shift back to center after a while instead of just to the left like I set it. That really is my only complaint with this powerhead.

Super strong magnets... maybe too strong?
Pretty impressed with this. Lots of water movement for such a small impeller. Easy to adjust position and use, I just wish it had some way to control the speed.I did manage to crack through a 10 gallon with the magnets. Be very careful when repositioning. It was totally my fault so no stars lost. I lifted up on the magnet on the outside of the tank, and it slipped from my fingers and snapped back against the glass, causing it to crack. The tank still worked fine, and would have been easy enough to replace just the broken pane, but I didn't want to risk it and I just replaced the whole thing. I suspect the thickness of the glass played a huge role the crack occurring, but I also expect other people are using these in small tanks with thin glass as well, so watch out if this is the case for you too.I would totally recommend this to any aquarists, but I would caution them from moving the Hydor Koralia once it is installed, as you risk issues with the magnet as I had. Total user error though, so also totally avoidable and shouldn't cause any concern to potential buyers.

Perfect, silent surface agitation & light flow
(Noise in video is from fan inside tank light, not wave maker) I purchased the 240 GPH one to create surface agitation to replace my air stone, and to create more of a shimmer effect in my tank. I was worried it might make too much current but it doesn't, and it is 100% silent! When I first plugged it in, it sounded awful, but after just a few seconds it became completely noiseless. My tank is directly bedside my bed and my filter is silent as well, so if this thing made any sound I would hear it.Another bonus is that the magnet attachment makes it super easy to move around, and I don't have to worry about it ever falling.

Stay Away! Poorly made.
I'm on my second set of two Hydor Koralia Nanos. I use them with a Hydor Smart Wave Circulation Pump Controller. These products are made by the same company and supposedly compatible. I have the wavemaker set to switch which pump is on every thirty seconds. Nothing too drastic. This is, after all, what these pieces of equipment were designed to do.My first set of pumps broke in under a year. One stopped working and the other was already making a horrendous noise every time it started up. I was pretty disappointed, but I couldn't find any other pumps for a nano that can handle the wavemaker. I decided to try again and shelled out another $50 for a second set. This time, rather than my usual once a month cleaning of the pumps, I decided to clean them every water change, or weekly. Perhaps once a month was too infrequent, I thought.Nope, Less than 4 months later, and one of the pumps wont even turn on. No noise, nothing. It looks brand new though! At this point I don't know what to do with my wavemaker, but I won't be buying any more Hydor pumps.Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these poorly made pumps.

Not for UK
Amazon should not be selling this pump to UK consumers. It comes with a USA moulded plug and is rated at 115v 60Hz, not the 240v 50Hz that we operate on here in the UK.Didn't realise this until I had cut the moulded plug off and fitted it with a UK 3 pin plug. Plugged it in - the noise was alarming and at that point I realised that this pump is for USA market and not UK.Going to try to return this, but as I've cut the plug off I'm not so sure my return is going to be that successful - oh well :-(

Worth the money.
Use is on a 45 g planted tank. Works great! Have it set to turn on when CO2 is on for circulation. Creates good flow in the 45g, would be hesitant in anything smaller. Adjustable and quiet. Doesnโt feel cheap.Would purchase again.

Excellent pump for nano tanks.
I've had this pump before and they are top notch. Works perfectly in my 10 gallon cube, and is so much easier to hide smaller then the Fluval Sea stock circulation pump which is a lot bigger and more difficult to hide, I will be buying another to replace the Fluval one as 2 pumps work better then 1 at keeping up good flow on the display side. For the price point this is the best circulation pump you will find in my opinion. It's also not made in China like a lot of aquarium items are, but made in Italy which seems to provide a better quality product overall.I don't find the 240 bad for a 10 gallon cube when used in conjunction with another pump, not sure I would use just 1 240 in a 10 gallon and up though, but I always use 2 smaller pumps vs 1 larger one so I can get more random flow and for my purpose this size is perfect.Amazon's price was a bit higher, but with being a Prime member it still came out cheaper then another online store who was 3 dollars cheaper but would have charged 9 in shipping so despite the higher price on Amazon, it was cheaper in the end.
