They're square, and they're clear, and I assume the markings are accurate. But they are, as I should probably have known, VERY slippery. I have one other ruler, which is a straight Omnigrid ruler that I've had for a few years, and have cut 5 quilts with it without any kind of non-slip addition. I bought invisigrip to put on these squares - they cannot be used without some sort of coating. I miscut multiple times before setting them aside to apply backing. I know this is a common issue in quilting rulers, and most people use a separate backing or no slip pads, but it is definitely much worse with these than with my omnigrid. Once I get them backed, I will revisit this. Maybe they'll be the best thing since sliced bread.
