Renegade Heavy Duty 18 inch Outdoor Broom with Curved Bristles for Grabbing Dirt & a Telescoping Handle

This is a great broom/rake. The problems I have with this is that I have to use another broom to sweep it into the dust pan and on top of that I have to hand pick and clean the bristles. It is not easy to clean up the bristles. But, it does rake, it does sweep, and it does it very well. I do notice though that where you screw the handles on to the head, that handle unscrews quite often. I try to hand tighten but it manages to come undone all the time. With that said though, my rheumatoid arthritis gets in the way with this because it does take some effort to sweep on brick flooring, and stone flooring. The pulling motion does drag and give lots of resistance. But I still manage to get a lot more rubbish in the same amount of time as regular brooming. I wish I did not have RA, I probably could give a better review then.

I am currently using this broom to sweep 53 foot wooden floor van trailers. The debris is mostly dirt and pallet splinters. I use a leaf blower to blow the dirt and splinters into the nose of the trailer and then sweep it into a Garland Jumbo Tidy Pan outdoor 21 inch dustpan. This broom catches the edge of the dust pan and lifts it up. I might be using the wrong kind of dust pan for this broom. I agree with other reviewers that the telescoping handle is flimsy. I am afraid to use the telescoping function of the handle because it looks like it could break at any moment. This broom does get into cracks better than any of my other brooms.

I have faux turf and it is amazing for sweeping up my many leaves. It actually works better than a blower. BUT, the handle is so flimsy it must be replaced. The design of the handle should not come in two pieces, although I realize they probably designed it this way so it would ship more easily. The material used and connection to the broom portion should definitely be sturdier and come in one piece. The handle definitely needs to be replaced and I wish I could rate them separately

So far so good. Used The Handy Camel Renegade Broom, 18 inch broom to clean up construction or more accurately destruction debris from tearing down some old plaster walls, and the broom performed phenomenally well. Less dust than a straight bristle broom, and less sweeps needed to collect debris. Broom is very lightweight. Nothing to complain about so far. Handy Camel are not the manufacturers or designers of the Renegade Broom, just a reseller. This broom is known outside of the U.S.A. as the Schmutz Haken or Dirt Hook.

The broom seems okay, but the handle was NOT INCLUDED in the shipment.

I was skeptical but it's a great broom! The handle does seem a little flimsy, so we shall see how long that lasts; but overall we love the product *update: the pole did actually break within a few months but the broom itself is still amazing and we just screwed it onto a new handle/pole. The engineering of it is such that if you lightly go over rocks Our pine needles will come right off better than the rake period is excellent to sweep water off the patio and just about anything. I'm definitely buying more but I will purchase better poles to swap them out

It did a good job raking smaller leaves and sticks on my artificial turf that my traditional rake did not. The handle is not ideal as others have mentioned. It’s adjustable and does not lock in place well, so it twists as you pull it in the raking motion.

I bought this strictly because of the design. The bristles are very tough. The unique shape of the bristles make it easy to the get the caked on dirt in the garage after a long winter. The handle can be made taller or shorter. I did not give it five stars because I felt like the handle was a little thin. . I wish it were a little more substantial..

We Had the smaller version of this product and we are impressed with how good it is, This broom makes sweeping up leaves very easy and fast, With conventional brooms the leaves tend to get caught in the bristles, You don't get that problem with the Camel Renegade. Worth buying as it does make life a little easier. P.S Have used this wider Camel Renegade broom to sweep up leaves in the back garden as we do get lots of leaves from the park, This broom made life a lot easier and faster to sweep them up. I would recommend as it is an excellent product if used as described.

I bought the widest one I could find. Absolutely the best brush I’ve ever used. My patio has rope edging and it gets into where it joins the patio really well It clears debris in one sweep and misses nothing , I wish I had found it years ago love it !! Good value as well.

This really interestingly made broom is very very good mix brushing my patio so much easier

The bristles are softer than a similar (smaller) version (not the same make), and this results in the broom being highly effective. The width of the head is perfect for our needs.

Liked the way you can alter height of handle as I’m only 5’2”. Great for sweeping artificial lawn and also real lawn after trimming hedges and bushes.
