Needed another winder tool as my others seem to have grown legs, and took off for the hills ;) Or perhaps got taken by the sock monster who olives by the dryer, even though I tried to keep them away from that! Seriously though, super handy winder which has the other abilities you need to be a player of string instruments. Yes you can ones cheaper, but this is heavier and works quite well, and bought the white one this time so others can't say, "no that's mine"!

Worked very well and can’t imagine trying to wind strings without. Wire cutters is convenient. I think it is good quality for the price and considering that changing strings is a frequent occurrence.

Can't go wrong with these handy tools. If you've never used one of these they are quite handy. They allow you to quickly wind the strings up when changing strings. The tuning peg socket has 2 sizes for different peg sizes. The clipper end is a must! No need to use bulky side cutters/wire cutters with this. If your guitar is relatively secured (I highly recommend a neck cradle for any guitar work, even string changes, you can get one as cheap as ~$10 here on Amazon) then you can easily use this with 1 hand while you're using your other hand to keep tension on the string at the peg while you wind. I have a black one and I though I'd lost it but it was just hidden in my tool cabinet under a black guitar cable. So I ordered this white one to be more visible in the guitar tools/cables drawer. I've since found my black one, so now I have 2. Having 2 is a good thing. One will stay in my guitar case and one in my tool cabinet.

It works well, but it needs hand pressure to wind and unwind.

I’ve broken multiple cheap plastic peg winders over the years. This one is clearly very different. I’m pretty sure it will last the rest of my life. D’Addario makes awesome products. Everytime I buy something of theirs, I’m not just satisfied, but seriously impressed. This thing fits snug on the tuning pegs of both my Stratocaster and Jazz Bass. Completely different shapes and a monstrous size difference. That’s a lot of thought put into the product, some very clever engineering, and why I keep buying their stuff. I know what I’m going to get will be designed and engineered by people who actually use them and have thought of everything. They’re also built well and are just overall quality products that go a step above.

This was given as a gift. The recipient said that it worked great to put on new guitar strings.

Does a good job cutting the string. I don't use the winder because I wind the string faster.

Me encantaron porque tiene todo lo necesario para cambiar cuerdas, encordar, cortar y quitar cuerdas hasta de guitarra electroacústica, el material se siente muy bien y el color blanco me encantó.
