Buy It!
This device is very easy to use. I highly recommend if you are starting a keto life style. It is both reassuring and motivating to be able to know for sure you are in ketosis. It helps get you through the unpleasant adjustment period when strictly limiting carbs. Its also a good tool to determine which foods you can enjoy while still staying in ketosis. The finger prick really isn't that bad at all and is totally worth it. I actually look forward to testing. The app is great and charts your results over time. There are also educational videos you can watch about how to use the device as well as about the keto lifestyle. Buy additional testing strips when you buy this because what this kit comes with wont last long. They are a little pricey but totally worth it. I know this device is helping me keep to a new way of eating and I couldn't be happier about it.

Accurate, Inexpensive, Inexpensive strips, mobile app stores, calcs GKI, and graphs
1. First, it is FDA approved and to achieve that it needs to be proven accurate. Unlike most meters even glucose-only meters, it comes with calibration fluid. Second, I tested it against a blood glucose meter and they tested within 5 of each other. It also comes with calibration for the Keto side. 2. People complain the strips cost more for the new meter and the company says they cost less. They cost less for the new meter by a lot. People also complain that they are bundled and they don't want equal amounts of each. The company sells them separately on their web site, and they say they sell pairs here because that's what most people want. At first I thought, I want them separate and I'll use my glucose meter and save some money, but you don't. The Keto strips on their own went from $1 to 80 cents each when bought on their own. Purchased as pairs, 60 glucose plus 60 ketone strips sold together cost $60, making them each 80 cents for ketone strips and 20 cents for glucose strips, making the glucose strips cost 2 cents less than for my glucose meter. If you are on a Keto diet, you need both to calculate the Glucose Ketone Index (GKI) so there is no reason to maintain two monitors. 3. For $45 you get a case (semi-hard), the monitor (with light on the end to illuminate the blood draw area and strip eject slide), with Bluetooth capabilities mobile app (that calcs GCI, displays individual sets of readings with both a graph and explanation of how with an explanation of how ketogenic you are, stores, readings and graphs trends in glucose, ketones, and GKI, enables hiding experimental food readings you don't want included in the trend ), batteries, finger stick (top notch with lancet eject), bunch of lancets, 20 glucose and 20 keto strips, calibration fluid for both glucose and keto, a quick start guide, and lots of stuff nobody reads, but no alcohol pads which I don't use anyway. $20's worth of that is in strips, so you are paying $25 for the nicest monitor and accessories out there. Experiences: 1. The case and/or the meter suffers from a design problem in that any time you open, close, or touch the case, the meter turns on inside. I've found the best way to mitigate that is to put the meter into the case face-side-up and upside down in its pocket, and push the finger stick all of the way to one side. This way the button is not under the elastic netting and the finger stick hits the meter in an area offset from the button thereby preventing anything from pressing on it. 2. Android App: If you follow the Quick Start Guide instructions directions on the sheet that comes with it, the Android app will not work with the new GK+ meter. However, their lightning fast e-mail support gave me the procedure to get it to work as well as another question I had asked. The following is the key information required to get the Android app to work: Quote from Keto Mojo's tech support: "We have removed the requirement for location permissions and we are now using Android's Companion Device to sync the meters. This has changed a few things: 1. When you get the screen "Link with Keto-Mojo", based on your description, you will need to tap the name of your meter where the Bluetooth icon shows next to it. It won't progress to syncing until you do. This will link the meter with your phone and start the synchronization. If you have previous readings because you added the app later, it will read everything in the monitor the first time it syncs. 2. The next time you sync with the same meter, it won't ask you to link again and will just start syncing like before. If you want to sync with a different meter, the app will find it and you can link that meter too, but you can only be linked with one meter at a time. Another key piece of information about the app: Quote from Keto Mojo's tech support: Neither the app nor the meter have the ability to delete individual readings; however, the app has the capability to hide individual readings that will not show up in your app or be calculated in trends. To hide a reading: Tap on the reading you want to hide, tap on "hide reading" under the reading display. That's all there is to it! To unhide the readings, go to your settings and under Data, select "Restore" next to Hidden Readings. NOTE: This will restore all hidden readings, as we do not have the ability to restore individually hidden readings at this time. However, you can set date limits the window for trends and graphs. Setting the date and time manually if you cannot get the app to work or have no eligible device: *Their direction to do that to "hold the button down 3 or more seconds" will not work properly. If you try that, you will miss settings and the reason will be apparent why as you read. - Concept of operation: The side buttons adjust the readings up and down, while the front button accepts and progresses to the next setting. - To get it into the setting mode: Instead of momentarily pressing the front button to turn it on as you do with normal operation, you push and hold the front button until the screen lights and then release immediately. If you follow Keto Mojo's instructions you will have already progressed and approved several settings without ever having seen them. - When pushing the front button to approve and advance to the next setting, push it very briefly because a normal press will often cause it to approve the next setting without you ever seeing it, giving the appearance that it skipped it. If this happens to you, you simply have to go through the process again an approve until you get the previously skipped setting. You cannot go backwards. Bottom line: Not so long ago, measuring keytones was quite expensive. Today it is not, and to have a single meter and app that automates the visibility required to manage your keto lifestyle makes makes buying the Keto Mojo GK+ a no-brainer. Since I have no diabetic issues, I keep my old glucose monitor in the glove box of my car in the event I am in a situation where it might prove useful to help someone, which also has happened three times already, once a guy who got lost on the way to the doctor's office for a fasting glucose test, another time at a wedding when things got way behind schedule and a guy couldn't stand by himself or figure out how to get into a car, and another time when a guy was trying to clock in swiping a quarter instead of his badge. Update: I would not want to be without this meter and app. It's ability to calculate and track my GKI is required to know what affects your fat burning. For instance, I learned the regular coffee spikes my glucose and devastates my keytones whereas decaff does not. Stimulants make me fat, not thin as advertised, and that is backed up by the scale as well.

Great way to track our ketones and make sure glucose is staying low!
This was out of the box easy to use. Pretty much common sense and plug n play! It does quickly spot an error if there is any contamination or you've put your fingers all over the test strips. So it really is important to handle the strips carefully and avoid touching them in the wrong way. Hubby and I had no idea where we were on the ketone scene until we got our first readings, and having been eating keto most our marriage (52 years) as we raise our own meat, chickens and veggies, we knew we had to be somewhere in the right ball park with our low BMI's. So when the readings came up pretty much what we had hoped for, we were elated. The results show up quite rapidly too. So we are super satisfied with this well-boxed set-up that allows us ample lancets and test strips so we can keep track of our ketosis and the progress we have been making. It reassures that though we are 71, we are definitely on the right track. Highly recommend!

Good but some irritating issues
I have both the Keto Coach (purchased a couple years back) and the Keto Mojo. I just purchased the Keto Mojo just recently because I wanted to keep track of blood glucose as well as ketones and since I was at the point where I needed to buy more strips for the Keto Coach, decided to take the plunge on the Mojo instead of buying more Coach strips. First, accuracy...the Keto readings match my Keto Coach, so I'm guessing they both are reading okay (or both wrong?). I like the app for the Mojo a lot (Coach doesn't have an app) and though not essential, it certainly is a big plus. I also like being able to check my glucose as well...so again, a plus for the Mojo. What I don't like about the Mojo is that the test strip packets are impossible to open without scissors. I'm afraid I will cut into the strip when cutting it open. Coach strip packets are MUCH easier to open. Second thing is that it is easy to turn the unit on by accident when it is put in the storage case and apply external pressure. The unit does go off automatically, so should be okay...I think. I find the blood draw on the Coach strips easier than the Mojo strips. The flow fills up the sample channel quicker with the Coach. No issues getting a sample with the Mojo...just a noticeable difference in sampling rate. I seem to have to shift the strip around a bit to get the sample to flow. Not a show stopper as long as I don't run into sampling issues in the future. Last, the Coach eject for the strips is easier. Minor nit, but a noticeable difference. I almost sent the Mojo back, but decided to keep it simply for the glucose measuring capability. Plus, I do like having the control solutions which came with the Mojo (extra with the Coach) just in case I have issues with readings in the future.

Good overall
A few of my ketone strips didn’t work however Keto-Mojo reached out to make it right. The device works great.

Reliable, Accurate, and Effortless – A Must-Have Tool for Ketosis and Blood Sugar Tracking
I’ve been using the KETO-MOJO GK+ Bluetooth Glucose & Ketone Testing Kit for several months now, and it’s safe to say this device has become an essential part of my daily health routine. Whether you’re following a ketogenic diet, managing diabetes, or just want insight into how your body reacts to food and fasting, this kit makes the process incredibly easy and accurate. Functionality & Accuracy What stood out to me immediately is how fast and consistent the results are. The meter turns on automatically when you insert a strip, and you get a result within seconds. I’ve compared my glucose readings to those from a lab and another high-end meter, and the numbers have always been right on the mark or within a very reasonable margin. Ketone readings are equally trustworthy, which is crucial for someone like me who cycles in and out of ketosis and relies on that feedback to stay on track. Bluetooth Integration & App Experience The Bluetooth feature is a game-changer. With a quick sync to the KETO-MOJO app, all my readings get saved and displayed in a clean, easy-to-read graph. No more manually logging numbers. The app allows you to track your GKI (Glucose Ketone Index) automatically, which is super helpful if you’re doing therapeutic ketosis or just trying to dial in your metabolic health. There’s also integration with other health apps like Apple Health, and it’s nice to have a central place where you can review trends over time. The app isn’t cluttered with unnecessary fluff—it just does its job well. Ease of Use Everything about the GK+ is designed with the user in mind. The device is lightweight but feels solid in hand. The screen is large and backlit, making it easy to read in any lighting. The testing strips come individually wrapped, and the color-coded packaging makes it easy to tell glucose and ketone strips apart at a glance. Even the lancet device is adjustable and not overly aggressive. The starter kit includes everything you need—lancets, control solutions, plenty of strips, and a durable carrying case that keeps everything organized. You can literally open the box and begin testing right away. Cost & Strip Refills A lot of meters on the market lure you in with a cheap device but make you pay dearly for strips. With KETO-MOJO, the strip prices are refreshingly fair—especially if you buy in bulk. They also run discounts regularly through their site and on Amazon. It’s clear this company actually wants to make this technology accessible, not just make a quick buck. Customer Support Their customer service is top-notch. I had a minor question about syncing with the app and got a clear, helpful response within a day. There’s also a large knowledge base on their site, full of tutorials and troubleshooting guides. You really get the sense they care about the community they’re serving. ⸻ Pros: • Highly accurate glucose and ketone readings • Fast results (within 10 seconds) • Bluetooth syncing with app for automatic tracking • Affordable test strips • Clean, easy-to-use app with GKI tracking • Bright, clear display with automatic strip detection • Helpful and responsive customer support • Well-designed carrying case and complete starter kit Cons: • Only syncs to the app after tests—not real-time continuous monitoring (not a dealbreaker, just a note) • Ketone strips are pricier than glucose strips (but still cheaper than many other brands) ⸻ Final Thoughts The KETO-MOJO GK+ is an outstanding investment for anyone serious about monitoring blood glucose and ketone levels. It does everything it promises and does it well. I’ve come to rely on it for real-time feedback, whether I’m experimenting with fasting, tweaking my carb intake, or just keeping tabs on my metabolic health. It’s accurate, easy to use, and backed by great support and a smart app. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This device is worth every penny.

Glucose reading is highly inaccurate and random
8 A.M. Monday February, 21 2022. My fasting numbers this morning are 2.4, and 105. It is clear to me that this device has extremely loose tolerances, and is worthless for the intended purpose. Had I been a Type 1 diabetic, I would have been deeply concerned to use such a meter with such sloppy and wide margins. To be fair, I burned two more strips to test against their test solution. The numbers were 2.4 and 105. The glucose test was problematic since the little bottle was overfilled and under pressure so it squirted red glucose test solution over my hands and desk top. This, I guess, as a final parting shot on their part, and clear indication of sloppy manufacturing practices. It took some time to find the sticker with information about what the numbers should be. I would expect this information to be on the bottles, but that was not the case. This information was not on the bottles themselves, but on a sticker attached to the bottom of the box the meter came in. The glucose test solution has a range of 97-146, and the keto is 1.8 to 2.9. This is like throwing a rock at a side of a barn from 2 feet away, and if you hit the door, you pass the test. This meter is going back this morning for a full refund via Amazon. I found a sticker attached to the bottom of the box the meter came in This review is for KETO-MOJO GK+ Bluetooth Glucose & Ketone Testing Kit. Ordered from Amazon 24 January 2022, and received 26 January 2022 with no issues related to shipping. The device appears to be well constructed of thick enough plastic. However, nowhere on the device does it have any indication where the device was constructed or assembled. The App is nothing but a data mining software requiring 24/7/365 GPS location to work over WiFi with meter a few inches away from my phone. The initial reading were trouble free. However, the meter later changed my manually set date of 01 January, 2022 to 17 January, 2021. The foils the test strips come in are too thick and not very well manufactured causing them to be a real challenge to tear open. You can see from my pictures that just trying to separate the individual foil required a lot of force and tore the package open. I was able to catch the test strip mid flight before it was able to fly across the room. I tested again on 05 February, 2022 and gave the App the permissions it wanted against my better judgement. I had to test three times since the first Glucose reading came out as an error, the second reading as 103, requiring a third reading3 minutes later, which came out as 66. This kind of reading is completely unacceptable. I don't know how accurate the Keto reading is since this in new to me. I, however, have been testing my Glucose since 2007 and I can say with complete authority that the numbers given by this machine are completely random and inaccurate (useless). I synced the meter to the device and it worked fine, turned the meter off and back on and the meter changed the date of my just completed test to 31 January, 2021. I will keep this device till Monday and do another test to see if I have to return it for a full refund. Update: 14 February, 2022 The date I originally set on the meter manually was 01 February 2022 and not the January date I typed here by mistake. Today I repeated the test and my glucose came out at 85, which is normal for me except for the fact that I am in Ketosis due to time restricted feeding and intermittent fasting (less than 25 grams of carbs for the day) I have been part taking in. This glucose number is too high for my current state. My keto came out as 0.7, which is very low. So again zero confidence in these numbers. My lancing device had failed after the first use, and replacement of the lancer. Today, I took two more lancers from the pack and examined them, it is clear to unassisted eye that the needles are different lengths. The original needle was the correct length so had I not replaced it, the lancing device would have probably worked fine for subsequent tests. At this time, I have zero confidence in this device, its manufacturing and lack of quality control.

Easy to use works great
I love the keto mojo. It’s very easy to use it hooks up to your phone very easily if you want to, but you don’t have to use it that way it’s seems very accurate. The strips for it are a little expensive but it’s a great tool.
