UGREEN USB C Micro SD Card Reader Type C to Micro SD Card Adapter

This little UGREEN USB-C microSD card reader works exactly as advertised. It's compact, well built, and the zinc alloy housing gives it a premium feel instead of feeling like cheap plastic. I tested it with several microSD cards, and it recognized them instantly. File transfers were fast and reliable, making it incredibly easy to move photos, videos, and documents between my devices. It's especially convenient when switching between my phone, tablet, and computer. Its small size makes it easy to keep in a laptop bag or pocket, and it's become one of those accessories I didn't realize I needed until I started using it regularly. Excellent quality, dependable performance, and a fantastic value. UGREEN continues to make accessories I can confidently recommend. Five stars!

Works great! -Sometimes you have to push hard on the card a little bit to get it to read. -Yes, it gets very warm. -Also I wasn’t able to get it to work with my iPhone but that is probably an iPhone issue. It works great on my MacBook Air.

Impressed with the performance of this tiny device in tests with my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. It easily plugged in with my case still on the phone. It was quickly recognized in the Files app. An informal read speed indicated a transfer speed of about 80GB/sec to the iPhone 15 Pro's internal RAM. Saving a 2GB 4K video from the phone to a Samsung EVO Select SDXC using the adapter took less than 30 seconds. And, so far, it handles direct writes when recording in Log video format. No major heat issues as yet at normal environmental temperatures. When purchased was about $11, so it exceeds expectations at that price point and if it inevitably gets lost due to its small size its no big loss unless I leave a memory card in it. However, the keychain attachment gives you a means to keep better track of it. As others have said, the design does like the MicroSD card exposed some. Considering that the whole thing is sticking out of a port on a phone that costs more than $1,000 brand new, you'll should probably be babying the whole rig when it is attached to be safe or spend more on something more ruggedly designed if you're situation that calls for it.

Works great, very small and works on my tablet just fine. I get a consistent 72MBps write speed. Does get a bit warm though.

This micro SD reader is super handy since my tablet lacks expandable storage. It lets me use a micro SD card, which is more compact than a USB flash drive, and access its contents through the tablet's browser. When transferring large files, it does get warm, but that’s probably because metal dissipates heat better than plastic. The copy speed stayed consistent while moving 60 GB from the micro SD card to the internal storage.

Great product

Another fantastic device from ugreen for the price, small issue of overheating in certain USB ports, turned out to be a bad dock and did not overheat in a regular PC or laptop port, worked across mac and windows/linux, would recommend active airflow if doing hundreds of gigabytes of file movement.

I like using this as it’s small and made of some sort of metal. Zinc I think UGreen claims. I like that it’s easy to handle with my fat fingers. And like all UGreen stuff, the usb c connector is precise, sliding smoothly in and out of my iPad. Similarly, the memory card goes in and out with no issue. It comes with a small lanyard which hooks on to a tiny slit that is carved into the housing of the reader itself. Good way to hang it on a keychain as this would be quite easy to lose. No issues transferring bits and bytes with a fast card such as a Samsung Pro Ultimate or a SanDisk Extreme Pro, my two favourites for fast transfers. I read some users complain about the reader getting uncomfortably hot in use. I haven’t experienced that but I’ve only transferred small files no bigger than 10 GB at a time. Overall this a great reader. Recommended.
