We used this for the first time today and I was able to teach my 10 year old daughter simple algebra with it! It's sturdy and the beads feel so smooth! The beads are plastic and not wood but for our home school I really wanted my daughter to see the equation on the top of the abacus, so this one was a must for us because of the place on top to put the equation. This is our first abacus and I didn't know how to use one but I looked at the picture on the description and figured it out. I'm so grateful to have this as another tool to learn math! I HIGHLY recommend!

Wonderful helper for a visual kid. My granddaughter was not understanding subtraction. This helped her see how it works. She and I now do puzzles with this. She will pull it out just to play with it. It has a nice feel and it’s small enough for her to hold on her lap or put on the desk when she’s doing her math. I love the cheery colors, the 10 rows of beads and each row having 10 beads in it. Very good set up.

I bought this for my granddaughter who loves math. She loves it! It makes math fun and easy. It folds up and was a great asset on our seven hour car trip. Both fun and educational. I definitely recommend it!

This is a nice abacus. It's smaller than I expected but it's gets the job done. I got it for my kindergartener to help him learn his math facts. He's a visual/hands on learner and this is perfect for him. It comes with number cards too so you can show the math problem in top while you count the beads. Definitely worth the money.

I gave it 2 stars because it arrived on time. My daughter just used it for a week and it’s broken already. You get what you pay for I guess. Instead of saving I had to buy a new one again, but will definitely get a different brand of course!! They need to redesign this thing because it will always break after few days of using. The glue won’t hold it up. *update: They emailed me about giving me a full refund, and according to them they have already changed a manufacturer and fixed the problem.

Kid really likes this abacus because it’s colorful and easy to use but I didn’t realize until a month later that one of the rows only has 9 beads. So don’t be like me and really check that the product you get is complete.

I bought the abacas as a row counter for my knitting. The size fits nicely on my table and is very stable. The balls slide very easily. It’s perfect for what I need.
