I'm giving this a full 5 stars even though there is a design flaw that I don't like. This ladder is lightweight and as I needed, very sturdy with wide steps so I that I don't fall off so easy. The handle on the top is the good AND bad to this story. The handle extends upward and locks into place to make me more stable. This handle collapses down so that when folded up and collapsed, it takes up minimal space in the corner. Here's the rub... that handle doesn't lock into place when it's down. What this means to me is, when I grab the folded up ladder to move it and I grab the top handle, it flies up abruptly. I have developed the habit of grabbing the steps by the top step to move it so that it doesn't get an attitude. I paid more money for good steps like these because Walmart's 3-step plastic steps almost killed me. I was on step number two when their cheap pop-rivets holding the step gave away. I was lucky and learned a lesson. Pay extra and get the good stuff.

Used this ladder for the first time today on UNEVEN ground while rehanging a bird feeder that fell during a very windy storm last night. Just had to come back in and immediately write this review. As a widow, I am always looking for tools that help me to do things for myself. Climbing a ladder to do anything is not my favorite thing because of the need for safety and, of course, my unsteadiness as an older person. This ladder is not only beautiful (not any requirement of mine for a ladder, but wonderful just the same), but very light weight yet incredibly sturdy and well-made. The wider steps gave me real comfort and the retractable handle at the top added to my feeling of being in control as I climbed then reached to do what I had to do. I am really confident that this is going to be used often and it will bring me peace of mind for years to come. It's going on my list of "extremely good decisions" when I look at spending for my home and safety. I highly recommend this ladder!

This is not only a great force of ladder that sets up quite easily and is easily stored. However, the great part about it is the color and the quality you can leave it out in your closet if you would like, and it adds a little bit sophistication to itit. Many of my friends have asked if I have gotten this from a specialty closet store. They are multifunctional and can be used anywhere but just very glamorous looking.

Really well designed ladder. Lightweight and folds very thin. Useful for high closet shelves, changing lightbulbs etc. We’re no longer Spring Chickens and this ladder is sturdy, the steps are large and we have no trouble carrying it.

I received the ladder today. It has a lot of features I would even make in a ladder if I were making my own including the feature that is a hindrance now that I have it. I have a lot of step stools, step ladders, and extension ladders. I am short and always thought I would like a ladder with the steps closer together for shorter legs. I have already missed the bottom step twice because I am use to the greater distance between steps. I recommend that you count your steps on the way up and on the way down so you don't miss the bottom one. I stayed on both feet both times but it was a jar to the aging body. I like the extension of the handles at the top that give a sense of added security. I also like that simply folding the ladder into te closed position allows the handles to retract. The ladder is lightweight yet feels sturdy. I like the deep platform for standing as opposed to a rung on an extension ladder. What I don't like. It is not very wide from side to side even 2 inches wider would make a huge difference. In closing I really like the ladder. I just need to remember to slide my foot in to catch the bottom step and you will as well.

How much difference could there be between a $90 ladder and a $120 ladder. Not much I thought, until I had them side by side as seen in the photos. $120 ladder is on the left side. 1. Less expensive ladder opens up to 30 inches. I thought this was good, taking up less space. In fact, it makes the ladder more steep and less stable. This $120 ladder opens up to 36 inches, less steep, more stable and easier to climb. 2. This ladder has the wide side of the rails facing forward. This again provides more stability with less rocking from side to side, compared to the ladder on the right. 3. Steps are deeper, easier to stand on and climb. I could only step sideways on the other ladder on the right. I purchased this ladder to use to water hanging plants, change lightbulbs, reach top of cabinets, etc. and it's perfect for me. My only caveat might be that while it is rated for 300 lbs, I would not recommend this ladder for anyone tall or weighing much over 200 lbs if you are going to use this regularly. I am petite all over and would consider this more of a tall stepstool. Because these types of ladders are narrow, they just aren't as stable as regular ladders. That one caveat aside, I am very happy with this purchase.

Best sturdy, lightweight ladder.I have ever owned... Very well built and was delivered quickly.

I already have a 3-step aluminum ladder that's great for use in the house. But often it's too short for things like changing bulbs in overhead lights, or hanging a flagpole off the house. I liked the description of this 5-step one, and the reviews were mostly favorable. The beta review checker gave the reviews an "A" for reliability. It is everything it's supposed to be, and more. I did not find any of the shortcomings some of the reviewers described--flimsy, wobbly, not fit for a senior. I am a senior, and I feel quite safe on it. The ladder is well constructed of mainly aluminum; it seems to have some other metal joints and plastic parts. The four feet on the ladder are shown as "rubber" in one of the photos in the listing, but are described as "PVC" in the description. They are plastic. The steps are wide and grooved, so they are quite safe. On a level surface (the cement landing at my front door) it is solid as a rock--not a millimeter of wobble with this 140 lb person on it. It does wobble on my brick walk, but that's because the bricks aren't level--no fault of the ladder. I love the retractable handle. It gives me something to hold an lean against when I am on one of the higher rungs. The handle locks into place. To slide it back down, you press two locking buttons, one on each side. Another nice feature is a strap with Velcro closure that goes around the handle and holds is in place, so it doesn't slide out during transport. There were less weighty ladders available (this one is 15 lbs), but I'm glad I opted for this one, because I really feel safe on it. There was just one small issue. When I unpacked it, I noticed a dent in the front of the lower step. It's not serious enough to warrant returning or exchanging the ladder. I phoned Amazon about it, and they gave me a generous partial refund. I am very happy, and look forward to many years of use. As soon as I finish this, I'm will use it to replace the batteries in one of my security cameras!

Es la única que se queda totalmente plegada de 4 escalones con esta escalera se llega al techo perfectamente una persona de 1,50 cm y como mi casa es pequeña esta escalera plegada ocupa muy poco espacio y se puede guardar en cualquier sitio
