Pretty thick book, come in good condition. Although it has a pungent smell so I have to put it by my window for ventilation overnight before further reading lol

Very well written and up to date. Key concepts are introduced by telling the story of their discovery. Boxes explain how these concepts got re-used in the brain (e.g. various types of ion channels). Kindle (PC and Android): Highlighting doesn't recognize the two-column layout in the otherwise very informative boxes (it works in the figure legends). My Android tablet shows some typesetting mistakes (fonts in a few of the figures) and highlighting is very imprecise.

An excellent book to keep up to date with neuroscience, specifically it does not ramble, it is not encyclopedic and it is written by experts who translate molecular neurology for us.
