Vocabulary from Classical Roots - D

We love this series. So glad I discovered it. What a sensible way to increase vocabulary, using Greek and Latin roots. It is the best prep for high school and college that I have found. Easy to use, very well researched/organized, challenging and student friendly. It is great prep for high school and college. I highly recommend it!

I know this book is meant for older kids but, it's so well laid out and easy to understand that my six year old son just completed book 4 and loved it. Now every time he hears a root word, suffix or prefix that he recognized he gets so excited. The lessons are so short and concise that we discuss one lesson at each dinner time. Then he takes the unit review quiz at the end of the week and always aces it not because he is super smart but because the lessons focus on understanding not memorization. If you're interested in improving vocabulary skills, The Classical Roots books are great for any age. I bought books 4-6 and A-E and plan to work with my sons through the whole series.

This is an excellent series for learning Greek and Latin roots for words. Super helpful for those going into fields of science, too.

Great product! Very well written and educational. Easy to use

This was a tenth grade english class requirement. Provides adequate information and meets the needs of the student. The instructor recommends this book to all of her students.

My oldest daughter loves them and my boys even think they're "not too bad." The kids work on them about 15 minutes a day. They've helped their spelling and knowledge of root words, and root origins.

Required series for private high school; really helps student learn origins of roots and be able to use that to deal with new words.

You can't go wrong with these books, but I would definitely add to them the Wordly Wise vocabulary curriculum. I wish the Classical Roots had more involvement in each lesson, but don't miss out on it. There is nothing to take its place.
