I have mosquito screens. How well would the alarms work when window open leaving mosquito screen closed?

I can't see it being a problem in all honesty. I don't have mosquito screens. But the alarms are brilliant value for money and make me feel safer at night.

What batteries does it take?

It doesn't take AA batterys it takes the little flat batteries

Can my teenager switch this off from inside if wanting to sneak out?

These alarms are as good as useless . Yes , they are switched on and off from the inside if you can get them to stick to the door or window surround but the noise , or lack of it is so little that you probably wouldn't notice anyway . Save your money and buy a decent system .
