Free it off the liquid so this makes them climb in . **Q: Can this be used in tortoise enclosure** A: The product only contains food grade ingredients: vinegar, fruit juices and a very small amount of detergent (comparable with ordinary dish soap). I am not a tortoise expert, but I believe that all these components are not harmful to tortoises. Then I actually went back and checked the description and realised they are, quite specifically, fruit fly traps... so I can't exactly deduct a star for them doing precisely what they said they would!And for fruit flies, they've worked incredibly well. Within just a couple of days there were already loads caught in the liquid, and I've noticed considerably fewer flying around since putting the traps out.The bottles themselves are small and discreet enough that they don't look out of place in the kitchen, and there's no noticeable smell to the human nose.
