Good to have for thunderbolt enclosure and desktop systems.
Works well, great price. Need this for DaVinci / MediaExpress enclosure setups, beats mini monitor/recorder as it allows for 4K

Reduced latency of video with a simple install
The install is as simple as it gets, just insert the card into an available PCI slot and let Windows take care of the rest. Once the card was installed and ready to go, it halved the latency from my 360 camera to the user experience. We initially tried the USB thunderbolt version, but clearly going to an external entity added delay, maybe from the cables or the connectors. Being an internal component of the PC now, this capture card removed all external possibilities of latency. Great product.

Good and cheap capture card
Good and cheap capture card. Only wish Blackmagic would make cards with a break-out for analog audio as a lot of broadcasters still use analog audio. One of the other alternative out there with break-out analog signals is AJA and they are a class above Blackmagic in every single way but their prices are also a class above Blackmagic.

We are getting better service from this card, than we did from a previous USB capture device. Quite satified.

Easy Installation
Inserted in the proper slot, installed drivers and it worked perfectly in Windows 10 machine.

Check if your motherboard is compatible
Don't buy it unless your motherboard is compatible. Check on the blackmagic website. It did not work on my Cyberpower PC. The previous version of this card, the 10-bit, works fine but this one doesn't. The 10-bit doesn't do 1080 60p only 1080i 59.94 that is why I wanted this one but it didn't work. Anways I'm switching to AverMedia for streaming and recording.

Works great, just what I needed!
Works great! Using it on my MacPro Late 2008 model to record live corporate events. Bought a dedicated hard drive and just set it and forget it!

Best capture card out there, but prone to input failure
Very good capture card, bet in the lot. Might have some issues with SDI input circuitry failing after a short while. We're using a lot of these cards and some have input failure within a year (under warranty) and some have quit working after 2 years or so. Not using them 24/7 so it's light to moderate duty. Those said will continue buying since I do not know of a better card out there in this price range.
