Panasonic DVD-S500EB-K MULTIREGION DVD player with USB & RCA Cable/CD Ripping

A really good buy. My TV engineers installed it for me and lo, I can at last watch my DVDs! Small and neat (not like the old ones) and multiregional which is such a boon when buying new DVDs from abroad - this opens a wider available choice. In the past, multiregional machines were either unavailable or prohibitively expensive. How times have changed! The player arrived overnight from ordering and was very well packed. A great deal from Amazon.

I wanted an all region DVD player due to having different region DVD's (1/USA) in my collection which I have not been able to watch. Saw this Panasonic player at a really great price compared to other multi region players on the market which can set you back £200+. Ordered yesterday and arrived today, very easy to set up. Got my Region 1 DVD, inserted into player and 'bingo' the player does everything it says on the box, sat and watched Region 1 DVD this afternoon. It does also play Region 2 as I checked UK/European DVD's and also '0'. Picture is great, remote is robust, player itself is light in weight. I have no negative comments at all - a very good buy from a very pleased buyer.

Great little multi region player plays my region 1 dvds just fine. Nice and quiet compared to my old one. Only gripe is it’s not HDMI and there is no HDMI port so you have to use the leads to connect to your TV these come with the player works just fine with the leads overall it’s a great little player and a excellent price. Would recommend if you just want a basic player for your multi region dvds

This was to replace an old defective player and it works well. Decent picture, remote is fine. It lacks an HDMI port but connected via the RCA sockets and it's OK that way.

For the price and the fact its multi region this is an excellent buy. Yes its not HDMI however if your TV has a Scart socket or RCA then it's ideal. You can of course always but a Scart to HDMI adapter quite cheaply. Seller also included a free Scart cable which was a nice surprise. Very happy with it picture quality is great and it runs so quietly.

My dear husband who ordered this didn't realize that our TV does not have scart connections even though it was clearly stated on the Amazon... so we have had to send for a scart to HDMI connector.... Thankfully the TV in our smaller sitting room has a scart connection as well as HDMI... so I have been able to use it...... It definitely plays DVDs from America and for UK .. It also does subtitles which can be switched off on the remote. I haven't tried other regions yet but I'm quite sure it will play them as well, as advertised, (multi-regional). I'm just happy that I can play stuff that I haven't watched for years as my old DVD player which played everything stopped working a long time ago.....and the replacement I bought from another company back then, which was supposed to be multi-regional turned out not to be...so I am a happy bunny and am now going to binge watch more of my old favourite DVDs that I haven't seen for years!
