Fermerry 26 AWG Stranded Wire Spool 25ft Each 6 Colors

I'm not a heavy user of DIY electronics, but I know what I'm doing and I've done it enough to have some point of reference here. I didn't know what to think of this product when ordering it off of Amazon, but I thought... Let's just give it a go. Once I received it and used it, I realized that everything about it was excellent. It strips super easily and cleanly. Solder took hold on the wires quickly and the silicone didn't melt. The wires feel really soft and are super flexible... like licorice. I was actually most nervous that the box would be oversized and the wire inside would flop around, assuming that they wouldn't have quality custom packaging. I was delighted to see that the spools fit perfectly and work really well when dispensing out of the box. I'm super happy with this purchase... and my Korg Volcas are super happy with their MIDI out mods. :)

I have used a few variations of this wire and was never disappointed. Highlights: * Silicone insulation is super easy to strip without worrying about cutting into the wire. * Unlike plastic, silicone insulation is more resistant. If you're like me who is an OK solderer but not an expert solderer, you would appreciate that you can mess with it a little longer than necessary without worrying about melting the insulation. * The wires are well tinned and super easy to solder. You don't need to scrap like you do with copper wires. These wires take tin very well. I usually heat it up and tin a very thin layer before soldering. It works extremely well. * The gauge is accurate and consistent. * The wires are supple and easy to handle. Be aware that unlike plastic, silicone doesn't stay bent. If you need to route the wires in a certain way or group a cluster together, use zip ties, hot glue, or electrical tapes. This is sometimes a pro and sometimes a con.

This is excellent quality wire, especially for the price. I purchased the 26AWG and have been using it on 2mm JST connectors. The connectors came out looking like they were factory-made. The wire is extremely flexible, even more so than my nice set of silicone multimeter test leads. Upon initially feeling it I thought there wasn't going to be much actual copper, but there is. I ran the wire through its paces, and it did an excellent job all around. The packaging says it is rated to 600V, but the printing on the insulation does not include this value. I do not have a high-voltage insulation tester or any way to validate this, but nothing immediately stands out that would make me doubt this claim. Both the packaging and the insulation printing say 200°C. I baked a piece of the wire in the oven at 385°F (just under the 200°C rating) for an hour and there is no visible damage to the wire or insulation. I chose the yellow wire, and the insulation did not discolor. Taking some measurements, the outer diameter of the insulation is around 63 thousandths and the inner wire is just over 20 thousandths. This puts it within the specifications for 26AWG if not slightly above. Measuring the resistance of a 25ft roll comes out to nearly exactly 1 ohm, again right inline with the specification for 26AWG.

Perfect. This is stranded wire, very flexible, with the soft insulation that can be stripped with finger nails. I use it for drone sensors and home automation sensor devices. Good stuff.

Love this little kit so cool for small I mean very small jobs it looks like a lot but it really is not but other then that great kit

I used the wire to make cable harnesses for one of my projects. The harnesses are needed to allow easy removal of modules from the equipment. This worked beautifully. This was stranded #26. The wire is very easy to work with, the insulation is tough and handled the heat of soldering without melting or shrinking. I'll buy this product again.

This is the best wire I have ever used for prototype circuit boards. The insulation does not melt when soldering. Strips easily.

Die Litzen lassen sich sehr gut verarbeiten und sind schön flexibel. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Verpackung, weil man die Drähte direkt daraus ziehen kann und sie damit gleichzeitig als Spender dient. Durch die verschiedenen Farben hat man beim verkabeln auch direkt eine gute Übersicht. Bin damit sehr zufrieden und werde die bestimmt wieder bestellen.

Die kabel lassen sich gut und einfach aus dem karton ziehen und verarbeiten
