The carrier keeps my camera from bouncing around on my body and it takes the strain off my n ck and shoulders. I also REALLY like the shoulder strap it comes with... Not sure how to explain it, but here's a single there point extension instead of just having the camera shift up and down the entire strap. I had a different shoulder harness, and it used to get in the way of my flip screen ALL THE TIME. This one doesn't. Also, there's a buckle quick release for when the shoulder strap is getting in the way or you need to hand the camera off to someone else. And the buckle is strong enough to use without the hip holster ( if you happen to forget it like I did once 😬😆). This carrier really shines on the LONG days. I capture protests, rallies, traffic stops, arrests, auto accidents, Bridge Brigades, wildlife, weather events, do 1st amendment audits, etc. After dropping my camera several times causing damage, I needed help. I found out about this product from a photographer. I now use the Cotton Carrier with my new camera and its already saved my camera. I can go hands free when climbing or descending hills, fighting off attackers, holding protest signs, hiking closer to what I'm going to photograph.
