Installs as instructed and appears reliable
Wasn't sure how sturdy this would be in my nice wooden file cabinet drawer after the original one collapsed, but the proof is self-evident after I installed this replacement. Following easy instructions with pliers and a screwdriver, the length adjustment and fastening went as instructed without a hitch. It works well and so far is reliable.

Great product. Easy to fit to drawer and easy to assemble
I had none of the problems some of the other reviewers talked about. First, if you don't know how to break these off to fit then ask somebody for help. Don't bend it up because that will only a) weaken the supports, and b) make it harder to assemble. For assembly, lay the legs on a flat, raised surface (like a desk or table) and position one side piece at a time into the grooves and tighten down the screw. Then move onto the other side. After both side pieces are attached to one leg stand it up (as it would sit in your drawer) and slide the other leg on and tighten the screws. I really don't understand people. If you do not have the knowledge it requires to adjust and assemble something it's not the manufacturer's fault. In order to adjust mine to 25" I put the side rails in a vise and lined up the mark. Then I took lineman's and grabbed it straight from the end. It took very little effort to bend and break off the excess. To address one other concerns....The rails were a little dirty when I took them out of the box. But unlike another reviewer here I did not have to wipe it down with wet paper towels then wash my hands multiple times during assembly installation. The product does seem sturdy enough for a moderate amount of files. However, I don't know that I would want to stuff a drawer completely full of files using these. It could cause the side rails to warp or snap off where it attaches to the legs. With that said, keep in mind that we are talking about very deep drawers that can hold a lot of stuff. I'm not sure if any other product would hold up to a drawer stuffed full, either.

Decently sturdy, hard to shorten
Got these for a LONG file cabinet I picked up from a thrift store that was missing rails. These were super cheap compared to everything else, so gave them a shot. First off, it seems like they are longer than 27", as I had measured my filing cabinet and it was about 28-29" deep for the drawers, and the bars overhung the back of the drawer. When I tried to break off the ends, I found it very difficult and the end of the bar bent while trying to snap off the excess end. I was able to bend it back, but I fear that it has compromised the integrity of the remaining stretch where there are more "snap off" indentations. I also did not use the stand on both ends of the bars, but rather inserted one end into the slot at the front of the drawer and used the stand for the other end. With this set up, it seems very sturdy, and it holds all my files well. Overall a great value for the price, and I am mostly pleased with it.

Great for older file cabinets that are not set up for hanging file folders.
Dislike: Shipped in the box you would see on the shelf at an office supply store. While all the parts were there, I can see how that might not always be the outcome. Like: good, sturdy hanging file frame to update older file cabinets. Not hard to install with fairly basic tools. I got an older five drawer cabinet from a friend who had purchased a few at a GSA auction for helping him load them up. Its the odd cabinet out of the bunch, but heavier, and IMHO, better constructed than the newer ones. Only problem was that it was not set up for hanging file folders. These frames fixed that problem. Installation involves measuring the side rails to to ensure they will fit your drawer, and if necessary, trimming them by breaking off (at the scored marks on the rail) any excess. I recommend using water pump pliers ('Channelocks') to ensure it breaks off where you want it to. Then loosen the screws on the end supports slightly, insert the rail, and tighten. Do that for both rails, at both ends, and slide it into the drawer, and you can file like a pro!

Exactly what I needed
Easy to put together & perfect size for my long 27" file cabinet drawers. Seem strong enough to hold the weight of a full drawer of hanging files. So far works good with my 80% filled drawers. Exactly what I needed and was hoping for when ordered. Quicker than expected delivery too.

Read the description of this to make sure you're getting the right product!
I'm not sure if I'm giving myself 3 stars or the product - I didn't really read the description of this product too well, I just saw the "adjustable", then the 4 star review and price and thought well that looks good... But I bought it for my desk not for a file folder drawer. There are 4 27" rods with markings to make it 4" smaller.. I had to make it about a foot smaller and cutting it wasn't easy. You need to bend it several times and use pliers... Bending at the exact spot you need to is difficult, and the smooth edges went out the window. (After just reading the other reviews it appears I'm not the only one, thank goodness.) I don't know what the difference is between standard and frustration free packaging; thought I got frustration free since they're the same price, but I ended up ripping the packaging to get into the product. So I guess it was frustration free but not annoying free. That being said, it was easy to assemble and fits fine in my drawer now. Price for what you pay for - excellent; Quality - good; Shipping - excellent

This is too narrow for a standard UK filling cabinet. Will not fit foolscap files. The width is a little bigger than A4. Trying to find suspension files that size. Couldn't find a similar thing in the UK so sizing may be a UK/USA issue rather than a general problem. Delivery was faster than expected and no issues with quality.

It took me more than an hour to try to get the rails cut at the right size and assembled only to find out that the hanging files do not fit or slide properly. You can only find out once you cut the ends, set it up and try to put your hanging files in. The whole thing is warped and doesn't allow the folders to slide properly. Sorry it took me so long to get it set up. Otherwise, I would have asked for a refund. It's now going into the garbage hoping that I can get something better. Any suggestions??
