This is the first vertical mouse I have ever purchased. I was absolutely uninterested in vertical mice, however I suffered some pain in my wrist (playing video games with my nephew lol) My wrist was clicking and had some unusual discomfort. It was suggested that I try a vertical mouse for computing so I bought this mouse because the price was affordable for a item that I truly did not want and planned to use for a few weeks only. (some of the other brands that i compared to this are 89-120 dollars!) In a nutshell... i may never go back to a traditional mouse? In just a week or two i became used to the awkwardness and i new did bring out my other mouse. I still am using this Anker vertical '98anwvm-ba' mouse even as i type this review. I have used it for about everything imaginable from browsing to word processing and even for gaming! I was so amazed that it was so comfortable for playing games. Now after owning it feel silly for even thinking it may not work as well for games, after all it is a mouse in every respect and functions as well as any good mouse I have ever owned. I have been using it now for about 6 months and it still seems like new. I spend more than 4 hours on the computer a day so I am sure that it is very durable. I really like this mouse and I am pleased that such a well constructed mouse is this affordable. The appearance is very nice and all the parts look and feel to be high quality parts. The buttons and scroll wheel and lighted accent of dim un-obnoxious light are all VERY well constructed and the mouse appears to cost 3-4 times its actual value. Here some redundant info that some people like to hear from a actual owner to be sure there is no misrepresentation: - The mouse is corded. - It has 5 buttons (not including the mouse wheel which is 3 function - rolls forward / backward / and presses down) left mouse right mouse forward browse back browse and one additional button that I never new about until just now when I looked at the mouse to write this section of the review bwahahaha ( i wonder if its a dpi select?) I am not sure what it does ill update this review when i found out. ohh as I play with it now i think it IS a dpi select but I am hesitant to say for sure because i just learned about it. - It emits a red light if you turn it upside down (used for tracking) it is not visible at all when using the mouse in its normal position. - The scroll wheel does feel like it has a textured roller mechanism when you roll it but it is almost completely silent when i use it in fact i think it could be easily be written in the product description that it has a silent scroll wheel. - There is a very attractive and very dim blue light accent that is only on the thumb side of the mouse which is very nice because it allows me to see the mouse when i sit down at the computer but it does not send light in any direction across the room since it faces only the user. even in a totally dark room the accent does not cast enough light to even see the keys on my keyboard unless i quite literally touch the mouse to the key I am trying to see.. this is important to me as I use the computer late at night I dont like extra accent lights to be disturbing to others in the room. - Model number "98ANWVM-BA" Seriously this mouse is in the 15 dollar range and it is VERY VERY good quality, i suspect they find it hard to sell vertical mice so they lowered the price to attract customers? well it really worked on me and this is one of those great deals you should not pass if you are at all interested. i honestly don't think you will be disappointed.

I gave up using a mouse and went to a trackball because of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. That required some adjustment, but in the end it worked out amazingly well. Then, I developed arthritis in my finger joints, which the trackball exacerbated. Great, now what? Research let me to the ergonomic mouse solution. Problem is, those things are awfully expensive. Enter the Anker CE100 Ergonomic mouse. It received great reviews here on Amazon, and at just under fifteen bucks, it was worth a try. Some reviewers claimed it was hard to get used to. I not only had to get used to the different orientation, I had to become re-acquainted with a mouse. The first two hours were rough. By the end of day two, it was second nature. Comfortable, easy to use, all the features I wanted, even a futuristic-looking blue accent light. This may be the perfect mouse for me. For others considering the mouse, here are my impressions of the mechanics: - The scroll wheel does not permit left/right scrolling directly; you have to click and hold the scroll wheel, then move the mouse in the direction you want to scroll. I prefer this; some might not. - The scroll wheel is stiff. You can't give it a good spin and have it carry on. You have full control over the wheel, like it or not. Again, I prefer this; some might not. - The forward/back buttons are under the thumb. Their placement is perfect for my fingers, but my fingers are somewhat shorter than an average male. - The mouse is tall--maybe four inches high. I tip it over frequently. I am a little clumsy, though, so take that into consideration. - When your wrist is at the correct angle to use the mouse, the weight of your arm and hand is placed on the bone near the outside of the wrist. After a while, it gets uncomfortable. This is going to happen with any ergonomic mouse. I purchased a mouse pad with a gel wrist cushion, and that did the trick. Bottom line: my fingers feel better, my carpal tunnel doesn't hurt, and I didn't spend a fortune. Sounds like five stars to me.

out of the box, worked flawlessly. very comfortable angle for wrist. Only thing for me is the material could be just a touch more "sticky/rough texture" ish to allow your hand not to slide off a bit. I guess I need to adjust my grip a bit more snuggly. Not a product issue; it's just me getting used to holding a mouse and a much more comfortable angle. this item definately relaxed my wrist, hand and forearm immediately from the first use.

Good product. Love the feel of it. I didn’t realize it was for right hand. I’m a Lefty. Gave it to a coworker and she TOTALLY LOVED IT. She is telling everyone about it.

This Anker vertical mouse is extremely comfortable to use — the ergonomic design really helps reduce wrist strain, even after long hours at the computer. The blue light is gentle and not annoying, even in low-light environments, which I really appreciate. It feels solid, precise, and well-built for the price.

I bought this mouse in 2023 and have used it with a variety of PCs and Macs. From an ergonomic perspective, it has been great. The natural position of the wrist and hand have meant no pain or cramping which is great. The buttons are well positioned for left and right clicks. There is no lag (I have the wired version to avoid lag and I even run it through a USB hub - with no issues). My issue I have is the scroll wheel. It has never been good and is now getting worse. It is comfortably positioned and has a good tactile feel, but it "slips" and will spin without "grabbing". This can be felt via feedback - no physical "clicking" or "grabbing" when you scroll, and of course, the screen does not scroll. It is hit or miss - and I am at a point where I need to replace it - I am not willing to continue scrolling pointlessly waiting for it to "grab" again. Not sure if this is a common problem for this mouse, but thought I would share my experience. My experience with Anker has been positive - the other products I have bought have all been high quality, which is why I bought the mouse. Alas, time to move on to a better mouse.

This is a comfortable and well-designed vertical mouse. The shape feels natural in the hand and helps reduce wrist strain during longer use. The buttons are responsive, and overall it works smoothly. A good choice if you want an affordable ergonomic mouse.

Anker Ergonomic Optical USB Wired Vertical Mouse REVIEW: Life is short, ergonomics matter tremendously in today's world. DISCOVERING THE WIRELESS SHARK MOUSE I first stumbled upon this mouse design while cleaning up a computer office for family. Someone had bought the wireless version, back when it's brand name was "SHARK". It was still sealed/unboxed and was given to me for helping out. This was a perfect way to test out the design with nothing to lose. I will say, the wireless version of this mouse was a total waste of time productivity-wise. It lagged, would intermittently stop working (batteries were fresh and replaced twice), would disconnect while holding down a scroll bar, and it was hard to pinpoint anywhere on the screen with certainty. I even used a USB extension cable which rested the USB RF transmitter directly beside the mouse and it still was not signalling well! When my CPU was performing heavy work, it disrupted the feedback to the mouse. Tested it on various devices--same thing. That really disrupts work when using spatially explicit software or just in general. 2.4GHz is a disruptive, bombarding frequency because too many things, including routers, are using it nowadays. WIRELESS HAD A TERRIBLE SIGNAL, BUT THE DESIGN WAS INCREDIBLE While those old RF chips are faulty as usual, the wireless Shark DESIGN was amazing, both ergonomic and beautiful. For the first time in my life I was not stopping work and shaking out my hands to relieve the strain. Using the mouse came so naturally I never had to "get used to it" and obviously traditional mice are medieval relics that need to disappear...that is ergonomics in a nutshell. After using the wireless SHARK for the first week I realized just how much pain I was in for years...it just became normal. Everywhere you go there lies the dumb traditional mouse--you get so used to fighting them with your hand and their prevalence and supposed normalcy. You would not believe how important ergonomics are for your tendons and ligaments. Humans even write out on paper at the same angle as holding this mouse, hence, keyboards are also ancient relics that are inflaming people's ligaments and leading them to the doctor. THE MOUSE THAT SHOULD REPLACE THEM ALL Whoever designed this mouse got it right! Traditional mice are like wearing clogs. The Anker wired mouse is like wearing modern shoes...which have an industry standard for ergonomics. The form is near perfect, and I am thinking the patent is so simple yet spot-on that that is where the value lies...otherwise they are simply putting buttons in different places in a new mold. So, I knew this was the mouse for me, but it needed to be wired (we are 10 years away from having real performance for wireless mice. Safe yourself the trouble and never buy one--I do not hold that against Anker). I found the Anker Ergonomic Optical USB Wired Vertical Mouse as the new licensed retailer using this mouse patent. It should still be named the SHARK, because sharks stopped evolving as their form became so efficient there was no need to change it. There is almost no excuse to make traditional mice anymore--they are PROVEN to go against our natural form and hurt people! If you work 8 hours a day at a computer full-time, just imagine how much time that is twisting your arms into unnatural positions FOR HOURS...even days, weeks, months, or years of your life. BRAND LOYALTY IS GROWING It arrived unboxed and quality sealed, no funny business. Anker's version has a high-quality logo print on the mouse and looks great. My computer office setup is all Red RGB-based lighting, and the Anker's red LED in the mouse looks stunning with my system. I am saying goodbye for now to my HP OMEN Mouse X9000, as it helped for years with its bigger design, but its still causing ulnar and carpal strain being horizontal. The Anker is much cheaper in price, but to me far more valuable than my X9000. I am very impressed with the packaging, the mouse hardware quality, and the response on the screen. It has a good heavier weight for easy gliding. I also have owned an Anker USB 3.0 extender with built-in Ethernet dongle for over 3 years and that has been a high-quality workhorse for my data needs to this day. I am beginning to trust Anker products. They may invent some items or rebrand a patent, but they seem to endorse only quality designs. PRICE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A BETTER MOUSE FOR BIGGER HANDS After researching all other ergonomic mice, I realized that I may never find a reasonable one for hands of my size that work as well as Anker's. I am a tall man, and my hands are 8 inches long. You will notice most "large" ergonomic mice designs support 7.8" hands and the more material they use the higher the price. The more volume the product, the more bells and whistles they squeeze into its housing to up sell it. I used to think, if I am going to find a mouse that works, it surely will cost a lot of money and I was right. Some "large ergonomic" mice had the size I needed, but poor reviews outlining problems such as with silly placed back/forward buttons which as we know can completely erase what you write out and destroy it with one accidental back button click. A lot of otherwise good designs were only wireless...a complete waste of time and energy. There is 0 latency with wired mice, but nothing is guaranteed with any wireless mouse, Bluetooth or RF. Well, it appeared difficult to get both the proper ergonomics coupled with increased size without spending $100+ and poor reviews. So the Anker meets me half way for a reasonable price and size. Its back/forward buttons are above the thumb, letting your hand "rest" the way it should. My hands are still bigger than being able to fully grip the mouse (try 99% of them), but because my hand can rest on the desk in a natural angle, it has little bearing on the ergonomic factor. I believe Anker is providing a very clever mouse worthy of being the standard replacement of any traditional mice. Ergonomics = better health. Ergonomics matter. Stop paying money for technology that doesn't adapt to YOU. SUMMARY With virtually none of the mice are looking like they will meet my size needs without some hidden flaw, at least I found one that doesn't hurt my wrists anymore and is award winning, made to help change the world, help people's health and productivity. It seemed wise to buy this renowned design as my first entry ergonomic mouse, and go from there. My carpal tunnel has vanished and my hand can somewhat hug this mouse! That is a first. It was the right place to start for a good price. Thank you Anker and Shark! I love it!
