I have always loved books on interior design, in particular the English style of decorating, books on or by John Fowler, David Hicks, William Yeoward, Ben Pentreath, and so many more, and this one has immediately captured my imagination, grabbed my design heart-strings. It has the most wonderful photographs accompanied by short essays by the various designers, from Alidad to Robert Kime, Rita Konig to Jane Churchill. There are small vignettes - tablescapes, corners of rooms, staircases - as well as double-page spreads, and photos of gardens as well as interiors.
