Love it
So my LO struggled with phonics as he stuck in repeating " A is for apple" "B is for Ball " etc ... I believe a big influence was the popular videos for kids that you can find on YT or other platforms. Including ABC songs. With this practice book, he's finally coming around to doing good phonics. The book contains examples and little funny exercises to encourage learning with a fun process as not all kids like to learn. overall Im happy with the purchase.

Fantastic for p1
Fantastic for an wee one in p1, I know what babybum will be learning for the week. If like me u just learned ABC u won't have an clue about jolly phonics and action ect the book is an must! I also down loaded the app ☺️

If you are looking for a step-by-step manual kind of book to maneuver phonics with your little one, this is it. Go get it. Edit: I've been teaching phonics for my kids for over two weeks now. My 4.5yo has started blending 3 letter words. The great thing about jolly phonics is that it comes with a free app (look for jolly phonics app on app store). Just download it and it is like a teacher's book that'll help non native English speakers with accurate pronunciation of sounds. It also comes with interactive games - just go to the games tab and sort games by group. By the time the child learns the first set of sounds(satpin), they will become more and more confident and curious to read more complex words. When you supplement it with the games it becomes so much more fun and my kids look forward for phonics lessons everyday. I have researched phonics and different providers for long enough to say Jolly phonics is the cheapest and best option out there for moms looking to teach their kids phonics while on a budget. I especially found the app very helpful and compliments the book very well. The three letter blending was a roadblock for us until the app taught us how to blend. When the kids watch it a couple times over they start doing it themselves. Parent tip: Just stay consistent and follow the 10 min rule. I set a 10 minute timer before starting phonics and close up when the timer goes off. We don't extend the time any longer than 10 mins even if the child asks for it. We agree that we'll close when the timer goes off. We wind up while they are still having fun. This makes them look forward everyday. Remember: "Until grade 3, the child learns how to read, and after grade 3, they read to learn." Jolly phonics does a great job helping your child learn to read. It will give your child a huge headstart in his or her academics...
