I can't say you'll catch more, or bigger, that's on you. But I can say this rod won't hold you back. It's top quality, tough, light, and the sensitivity is perfect. I've caught everything from bluegill to 25lb redfish on this thing, it'll catch anything the average fisherman will ever throw at it. Bang for you buck, this can't be beat.

My husband brought 2 of these on Prime day. The first set we received was poorly shipped. It came wrapped in clear plastic that were all torn. One of the fishing rod was broken and the other one was missing the bottom half. Also, the guides were all bent. We asked for a replacement and shipped the first set back. We gave the company the benefit of the doubt. The second set that we received also came wrapped in clear plastic. Again, the guides were bent! You would think since the rods are expensive and a well known brand, it would be packaged better. Extremely disappointing. Don’t purchase! It’s a waste of money.

Definitely holds up against big fish and is able to cast very far rod feels nice and sturdy and handles big bait pretty well

First one came broken after waiting over a month. Now it's been on order received for over a week hope I get it before my trip in 27 days probably won't be ordering rods off here again.

The rod I received looks completely different than the one shown on the listing, it’s shipped without a box and it arrived all scratched up with a bent guide. Penn can do a better job describing their product accurately and shipping it in a tube or a box at least to avoid getting damaged.
