Ordered a brand new product. Received a recycled, used product.

I have tried this sensor on 3 different PCs running Windows 10 and 11, and I have tried it on a MBP running OSX. I have tried USB C and USB A connectors and all ports. On all the PCs, the sensor will connect, but only as USB2,1. On OSX, it crashes their own sofware (RealSense-Viewer) which I installed using their directions (with brew). This means it is maxed out at 320x240 on the dept sensor and 640x480 on the color visual. Do a quick Google search and you will see others have had this problem going back to 2020 and Intel has not been able to fix it reliably other than by YOLOing an RMA and hoping for the best. They are happy to recommend you try a powered hub but it seems like it only sometimes solves the problem that seems to be obviously due to their device.

「インテルが3D深度カメラ「RealSense」事業を閉鎖。コア事業に注力の戦略」（２０２１年８月発表）ということで残念です。今後、もっと良い商品がでるかもしれませんが、無くなる前にということで購入しました。 現在、この商品を扱っている店舗もあまり多くはないようです。Amazon内の某店舗で、新品ということで購入しましたが、外箱のシールは剥がれており開封された形跡がありました。しかし、中の商品自体は綺麗で保護シートも綺麗についていました。好意的に解釈すれば、輸入品と思われるので税関等で開封されてしまうこともあるのかもしれません、あるいは親切な出品店が動作確認をしてくれたのでしょう。 完璧な新品が欲しいところですが、問題なく動作もしており、今後入手困難かもしれないので許容範囲と思うことにします。（まぁ、新品ということなのでしょう。）

Useless product. While they mention it is not for outdoor use, the product doesn't work indoors too - even with the slightest amount of sunlight. What they also don't mention is that filament based yellow lights also cause the product to malfunction. Stay away from this crap.
