You can’t close until you press the two release bottons together on side of restrictor. Restrictor can be unleashed to fully open window **Q: Can it be attached to the top of the window? Does it have to go on the bottom?** A: Most of the very useful catches are attached to the bottom of windows. We have attached one to the top of a door without problem. The thing you need to bear in mind is that you would need to reach the top of the window to operate it safely. **Q: Is this suitable for large square top hinged bottom opening upvc and would it stop the window self closing** A: Yes you can attach to the top, it probably would stop the window blowing closed. ## Frequently Bought Together - BeeGo® Child Proofing Window Lock & Restrictor – Self-Adhesive, No Tools – Fits UPVC & Most Windows – Restricts Pets & Prevents Light Objects from Falling – White – 1 Pc - BABYGO® Window Restrictor – Child Proofing & Cat Lock for UPVC, Wooden, Metal & Aluminium Windows | Restricts Pets | Self-Adhesive, No Tools Required | White - Window Safety Lock AOSITE 2 Packs Versatile Window Restrictor Self Adhesive for UPVC No Drilling Window Locks, Refrigerator Lock with Key Child Window Safety Locks Pet Safety Cable Lock for Childproof --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/216711593-beego-window-restrictor-for-upvc-windows-child-proofing-and-cat](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/216711593-beego-window-restrictor-for-upvc-windows-child-proofing-and-cat) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
