Knife punches above its weight class
I think this is an excellent value for the money. I could see this knife being priced in a store closer to $50. The construction is solid and does not feel cheap. It is a large form pocket knife, but does come with a quality leather sheath if you want to carry it that way. I don’t use the sheath, I just drop it in my pocket. It has a weight that gives it a feel of authority. The liner lock is robust and there is no blade play or wiggle in any direction. The knife is screaming sharp. It has a lanyard hole you can attach a leather or paracord lanyard. The Delrin handle scales are well fit to the frame and will wear like iron without decay or degradation and will shake off oil, solvents, salt, etc… without staining. I paid $33.41 for the knife with the leather sheath, next day free shipping. What’s not to like? Recommended.

Great knife
This is a great knife for EDC. It is well made and appears heavy duty. The blade is very sharp and nicely thick. The knife feels great in the hand and the lockup is absolute. That brings me to the only issue. That lock is tight. Disengaging it isn't easy, and there is a slight danger of closing it on your thumb. It should loosen up with use. The belt case is excellent. Nice leather and it rides perfect on the belt. This is a larger knife, which is fantastic. Everyone needs a real knife, and this sure appears to be it.

Great knife for the price
I am normally a buck 110 but wanted this ranch boss lol when I saw it. Since I have several cold steel knives. The knife is nice. The width is a little narrow for my hands but still a decent fit. The blade is sharp out of the box and the lock up is solid. One issue for me is the sheath. While the sheath itself is decent it is too big for the knife and the knife wobbles around while I walk. One solution for me is I had a fero rod that fits inside the sheath with the knife and no rattle. The back of the blade is 90 degrees and does work with the ferro rod. Overall no real problems and I believe I will be carrying the ranch boss for years to come.

Looks like a keeper.
The knife I received was extremely sharp and the workmanship was excellent, no gaps, smooth opening and closing and the liner lock works with no issues. Haven’t had it long enough to see how it holds up to every day use but so far it looks like a real keeper.

As Jack Burton says ... its all about the hand grip
Currently an unhinged value, I'm tempted to buy another "just in case" its that good (no way no how is this deal going to last going forward %50 of a Buck 110). Two things, I have not carried this heavy a folder in years the other being I doubt most of my day to day is not better with a lighter slicker solution with multi use. I lean to Swiss army style utility these days and for slicing a Opinel for the knife duties facing tough grisel when at the table. Some years back my Buck was stollen, while I had long since left it in a drawer from EDC in the 70's I did not like the gap in my on hand tools. Honestly this fits my hand far better than the Buck, quality is top notch and even includes a top notch belt sheath? It's stepping back into a time window when a dollar had a purchase value maybe 40 + years ago. Aesthetically I favour the Buck, brass and wood. This however is so well finished I would impartially pay more in raw utility and hand feel. Comparison photos are an Opinel No. 9 & vintage German Army Knife. This is a substantial folder, not delicate nor in any way a crap version of an old standard trying the typical budget look alike.

Folding fixed blade here!
Beast of a folder! The blade is thicker and almost longer than alot of fix blades and sharp! It's a little rough opening it but use it and oil it. It also comes with a "leather" sheath like the 110's do. It'll give the 110 a run for the money I think. I haven't tested it out but I've broken the tips of every buck 110 I and my Dad have had but anyways it seems like a solid work knife for sure cold steel hasn't disappointed me yet 👍

Knife is too hard to open and close efficiently
I love Cold Steel knives and own a lot of them. I have never had any problems until this one. Everything about the knife is great. It feels good in the hand and the blade looks and feels well made but the problem is that it is much too hard to open and close to be useful. It looks pretty sitting on a shelf, but I didn't buy it for sitting on a shelf. It is so stiff that you can't flick it open even with the blade more than halfway out, and the lock seems tailor made to cut a finger. I did oil it but it made no difference. I am returning it for a replacement, I hope the next one is better. UPDATE - I returned the knife for another one and the new one wasn't any better. This thing is so stiff it may as well be a fixed blade. I gave up on it and now use it for cutting up cardboard boxes.

Overall good, but the tip of the blade was burned.
Such a great concept, but cold steel has admittedly had quality control issues from their China factory. I have seen a few different issues presented on this knife including a peened lock bar to get earlier lock up and also a burned tip from grinding the edge. Overall fit and finish on the one I got is good, no issues with the lock bar, however my tip is definitely burned. Having a compromised heat treat on the most delicate part of the blade is NOT GOOD. Requested a return and will be waiting on a replacement. Hopefully it’s better.
