These are easy to install and easy to check and open and change bait. Worth the money

Easy DIY
Arrived in good condition. You will save around $1000 doing it yourself. Traps are recurring revenue for pest control (scam). It takes longer to kill colonies than soil treatments, but it should be effective. REMEMBER: CALL FOR UTILITY LINE LOCATES AND USE AN AUGER to dig the holes.

Cost efficient replacement for Terminix service
The drilling auger doesn't work well, especially for harder clay. The design is straightforward, though I've had the tablets swell from rain. I don't like that half the tabs are detection-only and that you're recommended to replace these every six months. Still, this is identical to the service plan Terminix provided as a boiler plate treatment, at a fraction of the cost.

Same Thing the Termite Companies Charge Thousands for.
You get 10 bait stations and 4 insecticide canisters. Put one at each corner of the house (2-4 feet away) and the rest every 10-20 feet. Check after 2-3 months. If termites have been feeding, remove the bait and insert a canister. The chemical in there will be taken back to the nest and will prevent future generations from molting which will kill off the colony. (If I detected termites, I'd also get a perimeter treatment from Lowes.) There are four canisters with the kit but you can buy a pack of six if necessary. Since they are made by BASF (German chemical company) for professionals, they are effective (unlike the Spectracide version sold at home stores IMO). (The perimeter termite treatment mentioned earlier is not the same thing-it's a liquid or prills and is very effective.)
