Excellentr option for keto noodles + good fiber for a binder
Recommendation: If you want a keto noodle replacement, and don't mind a slightly different texture (or the higher price), buy these. Pros: * Pretty much a noodle aside from having a bit more springiness * No carbs * No flavor * Good fiber for binding (if you have health problems) * Doesn't seem to aggravate constipation or diarrhea Cons: * Expensive compared to noodles * Slightly different texture, but 95% a normal noodle More: Has pretty much no flavor with just rinsing it off. In most sauces, you'd think they were noodles, and might not notice anything off. If you concentrate on texture- they feel a bit more "gelatin" like compared to actual noodles- have some resistance to breaking, have a bit of springiness when pulling on them.

Risk of gastric distress
I really like these when I first got them. Yeah, there was the expected fishy smell, but a good rinse in the strainer fixed that. I typically microwave them or boil them, then I add some oil or butter and a little flavoring of some type. Good stuff. The consistency is a little rubbery, but not overwhelming so. The spaghetti form and rice form are less rubbery, while the flat form is a little more rubbery, expectedly the clear flat form. Unfortunately, there's a dark side to shiritaki / konjac. If you eat a couple small packs of the noodles at once, you risk severe abdominal distress. The first time, I was in pain but couldn't swear that the noodles were at fault. The second time, I was certain of it. Both times, the distress occurred about 18 hours after eating the noodles and the pain was disabilitating. All I could do was deal with the pain. The second time, I nearly went to the hospital. I was minutes away from going, but thankfully fell asleep while laying on my side on the floor (the only position that was bearable at the time). The pain felt like my stomach would split open. Picture the scene from Alien. Finally, after nearly 12 hours of misery, the pain abated enough to let me move around. Three days later, I still have mild pain, but it's gradually going away. Apparently this scenario occasionally occurs with others. I just searched for konjac stomach pain and there it was. I no longer recommend any shiritaki / konjac products. All of mine went in the trash. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same thing I went through.

Flimsy Keto Friendly Noodles
Out of all the noodle alternatives out there, Healthy Noodle that Costco used to carry was our favorite. We couldn't find any, so we tried these. They're great for a noodle alternative. They're very thin, and slippery, and don't make a lot of pasta. To be honest, I'm not eating them because of the noodle itself. I'm eating them because I love pastas, and needed a noodle alternative so I can still enjoy some of my favorite dishes while on Keto. If you haven't tried the noodle alternatives, you need to know these are absolutely not noodles, so put that thought out of your brain before trying. They have no flavor.

Just ok
Ok but not great. A little bit stinky like fish.

Perfext for keto pasta lovers
Serving size is sufficient at about $2 per meal. If you miss pasta this makes a nice alfredo or spaghetti dish without worrying about carbs. Rinse well and stir into the sauce to avoid a strange flavor. It picks up the flavor of the sauce well so long as its coated with sauce. Not so good plain. I wring out the water with a tea towel after rinsing. Makes a good stir fry as well.

Noodles are safe for Keto dieters, but funny feeling
I have had to stop using rice, noodles and potatoes because of the Keto diet I am on. The diet has worked to pull me back from almost being diabetic, but food hasn't been as much fun. I love noodles and they are verboten to me. One of the nurses I was working with told me about the konjac noodles so I bought a couple boxes of them. When first opened, they did have a unpleasant odor, but I washed them in water and it was better. The noodles are tough. One reviewer said they tasted like worms. The noodles are plasticky and do feel like worms because they are tough. The are harder than regular noodles. I don't mind that they have no flavor, but the noodles rolling around in my mouth and feeling like worms is unpleasant. I really wanted this product to work for me as an acceptable alternative to real noodles, but if you can stand them, they may work for a substitute. They are better than no noodles at all, I suppose. Not sure I will try them again. Didn't like the texture.

Best beef stroganoff
Added the picture canned beef, two cans to sauted mushrooms with TBL Soy sauce. Cooked for 5 minutes to evaporate liquid, then whole cube of cream cheese and 3 packs of rinsed noodles. Cooked 10 minutes and thicken with a flour and water rue. Cooked another couple minutes and turned it off. When cooled I finished with parmesan and pepper. I am a picky foody and this was on target. I tried the thicker noodles for mac and cheese. The trick was to rinse and put in the pan with a little butter and oil and cook the water out, then add cheese base and cook on low. Letting it cool really made it gooey. Definitely a fave. One fajita take out is now $26, ridiculous. This recipe makes at least 4 very generous servings for the same price.

Very Bad Flavor
I tried to follow all of the advice online about how to cook these noodles, thoroughly rinsing them, using different citrus juices to expel the fish smell, frying them 'till crispy, but nothing I could do would make these noodles edible. I couldn't get through a single meal with them, and I am not a picky eater. The only meal they might work as a substitute for would be stir-fry and even then it's a stretch. Speaking of stretch, they have about the same mouth-feel as a rubber band, elastic and hard to chew. Lastly, they are heavy on the gut and will cause indigestion. Overall I don't recommend it and especially not at the current price.

Great product. I have had shirataki many times and it is a staple for me when I am cutting weight. Very filling with almost no calories. It’s not quite the same as pasta, but I really enjoy it and I highly recommend it as a pasta substitute for people who want to be in a calorie deficit but still feel satisfied after a meal!

Wish this was cheaper and i would totally swap out for ever using rice or pasta again. Texture is interesting but good, easy to flavor and just goes good with everything, personally my husband and I love it especially for health benefits and weight loss!!!!

The noodles in some of the packages were great but in others, they were like shredded plastic. Impossible to eat.
