I am so happy with this product I had to review it right away. I had been using resound multi mic to pick up the tv sound but finally had to replace it so I got the TV Streamer 2. The sound is stereo and crystal clear. It took me a bit to figure out the setup but it ended up being so easy. I just plugged in to the optical out on my audio receiver to the device. Paired first try and wa-la. Others can set the tv volume to their liking and it doesn’t change what I hear. I use my resound app on my iPhone to control it so if you have the app you don’t need the remote. I can walk into the other room and even outside and still hear it clearly. This is worth the price. (Update: device stopped working the next day; trouble shooting found it was the cheap usb adapter that came with the unit. Replaced all is well again.)

This solution works *really* well for hearing aid users. I was surprised how well I understood voices on TV. My speech perception is poor and I usually have to crank volume up to levels that are very uncomfortable for people with normal hearing. I connected this to the pre-amp output of my receiver and now I can actually mute the TV and still get a full signal through this streamer. It has a volume adjustment on top and you can use your Bluetooth app to control it, too, or simply the volume buttons on your aids. With the correct hearing aid adjustment, you can select how loud the external voices are and I was able to talk to and understand people next to me WHILE also hearing the TV, so you are not cut off from ambient sounds using this streamer. Highly recommended, I subtracted one star for the exorbitant price (cost of parts is probably $20), but this qualifies as an HSA expense, if you have one.

This needs to be returned. It doesn’t coordinate with his hearing aids.

I had thought about this purchase for awhile. Wearing hearing aides I enjoy using them as ear buds on my iphone. This was described as a "marriage saver" purchase by a friend. It is terrific! I definitely would purchase again though it is expensive . I bought the remote but the iphone app makes it unnecessary. Hardest part was figuring out how to turn it on after installing it on the tv. Youtube came to the rescue and a new app that included the tv setting. It is used every day. It can be used to watch tv together or solo without the sound disturbing others. I can't say enough good things about this product.
