READ THE NOVEL THAT IGNITED THE PHENOMENON! In an effort to discover the truth behind Death Gun, Kirito has entered the Bullet of Bullets tournament in Gun Gale Online. Both he and Sinon the sniper girl have made it to the finals, and the reality of what they discover is stranger than anything they could've prepared for. As Sinon is forced to face her own past, lives are on the line once again, and Kirito struggles to connect Death Gun to events in the original SAO game--but can Death Gun's bizarre rampage be stopped in time? Review: Love it - Amazing depth of story and action packed scenes. I quite enjoyed it and the exploration of the concept of what VRMMORPGs can do and how they can affect lives. Moreover, the idea of "reality" is explored quite nicely, which is a central theme in this series I think. Lovely work Kawahara-san. Review: Great Conclusion to this 3rd Arc - Thus far, this is the best conclusion to an SAO arc thus far. The emotions driving each and every character were believable and tugged the heart. The climax and resolution was sensible and real. And the epilogue itself was compelling and encouraging. Encouraging, in my opinion, is probably the word that not only perfectly describes this volume, but also the arc. I think it is easily why this is the best conclusion and best arc. I found myself really feeling the characters as it felt like I was there with them wanting to seal myself off from the world as it was out to get me reminding me of the fears I was running from while also feeling like I wanted to be encouraged like the characters encouraged themselves and each other as they found the strength within themselves to tackled their fears, and their selves, and to make it through. Watching them make it through when all else was against them was great. This time, I don’t have much to ding the volume for. While Shinkawa (kyouji) does have some questionable antics, it is perfectly explained by the as usual, great expectations heaped upon him by his family and the bullying he faced in school. Sad that someone so cute and so wanting to just be liked and succeed could have another side to him, but this is what happens when you can’t enjoy a childhood due to people who want to take advantage of you. Also, once again, Kirito is just plain more interesting when he is with characters that will actually you know jab him and tease him vs just submit to him like Asuna does. Sinon and Lisbest easily are the most interesting characters to ship with him thus far, hm, Leafa as well.

Another Great Book!
This is the sixth book in the main series of "Sword Art Online", and the second book of the "Phantom Bullet" arc. Some of the author's statements regarding firearms in the book are incorrect, but that does not detract from the story. As always, Kawahara-sensei's writing is superb, ditto for abec's illustrations. I highly recommend this book to fans of the "Sword Art Online" anime.

Perfect story, imperfect illustrations!
The content of the book is perfect except the illustrations in my printed version. As you can see here the two full page spreads are flipped. It's a very large annoyance and I hope it is rectified in later editions of the book. http://i.imgur.com/BSxQcto.png

Excellent arc conclusion!
This volume solidly finished the GGO arc, had excellent character development for Kirito and Sinon, and even raised interesting philosophical questions, as the series is wont to do.

The finale
The Battle of Bullets (BoB) is happening and Kirito has zero clue who is death gun. He had ask Sinon about any names she doesn't recognize from the list of BoB list. And he searches for them in the battle

Bought these books for my 13 year old son. He loves the books and completes reading on about every 2 days! He has already reread several of the books a second time!

Phantom Bullet ends ends a bang!
Sword art online (SAO) phantom bullet is in my opinion the best arc in the highly well know series. Both this book and number 5, adds a dark layer to what is quite a wonky series at times. This book starts close to the start of the bullet of bullet tournament or BOB for short and thrusts our heroes the flamboyant and cheeky swordsman Kirito and the ice sniper Sinon into a situation of life and death in thr virtual world of Gun Gale Online. Watchers of the series will appreciate the detail and inside feel of the books. Giving you a much bigger inside to each character. Sinon is by far the best character in the series showing great development throughout which is a big step up from Asuna and Leafa of the previous novels. The mystery behind the killings of Death Gun come to light here and it is an intense read. Well worth the money for fans of series and people with an intrest in mystery and gaming. If you haven't read SAO or watched the series I would highly recommend this and book 5 which begins this arc. It cuts out most of the despised romance elements and focuses more on character, action and mystery. A fine read and a great addition to the SAO libaray.
