This book is amazing!! BUY IT!!!! You will not regret it it is worth every penny of the knowledge that you get from this amazing descriptive book that has so many crystals in it so many rocks it's perfect!!!

If you are into stones or crystals this is the book to do it all. The best part is it is in color order! If you have a green stone and are not sure what it is, you can look it up. If you are unaware of the healing attributes or facts about the stone it has the clarification for you. This book is fantastic for those who are just starting their journey in crystal or rock identification this book is perfect for you!

This book is perfect for any crystal enthusiasts! I have been diving into crystals for a few years and wanted a book that covered everything about the crystals and had a good selection, not just the basic 12. This book is large, high quality and great picture quality! It has so many crystals I have never even heard of and dives into every aspect of them. From where they are found, how rare they are physical and mystical attributes. I'm pretty confident that if you purchase this book, it will be the only one you need!

I just got the book, and I already love it. I've got The Book of Stones, which is very in-depth, and informative, but the Encyclopedia of Crystals is the perfect counterpart to the book of stones. It's organized by color, which is the best part. It makes it easier to identify those gemstones and crystals you acquired awhile back and can't recall their name. The descriptions are just enough of an overview to not overwhelm you with info that you end up forgetting things. I think it would be a great book for beginners looking into crystals for the first time as well. Glad I picked it up.

This book is beautiful and has a lot of information. It's organized by color, which is pretty cool for the most part. The first stone I tried to look up was labradorite. I was recently given a piece of it and didn't know what it was used for. My stone has large sections of blue and green, with blue being the most prominent. I went through the blue and green sections with no success before turning to the index. Turns out the index is sorted by use of the stone, so 'L' has things such as 'love' and 'light' and the stones associated with those rather than stones that start with 'L'. I understand why this would be included, but I was specifically looking up labradorite because I do NOT know what it's for. I had to skim the whole index til I found it. Turns out labradorite is a black stone, and is used to help with transition periods and the like. I feel the index could be very much improved by listing BOTH the function of the stones and having them alphabetically. Granted, it seems I chose a difficult first stone to look up, but these would be useful inclusions for the future regardless.

Judy Hall is my go to person when I need knowledge on crystals. My 1st book I bought by her is: The Illustrated Guide To Crystals. My 2nd was: The Crystal Bible (volume 1). What I like is that it is well organized! (This is for those who said there wasn’t an index!) There are TWO (2) INDEXES! 1st one lists all the crystals by name & the 2nd one gives you a list by what the crystals are used for. Ex: Acceptance - Anhydrite 243 & Cinnabar 50. And then the middle of the book has all the crystals listed by colors! Lets say you have this light green with brown like veining in it. Go to the green picture page & look for your crystal. You find your picture & it says it’s a Variscite, then it tells you things like where it’s from, zodiac sign, charka, what it is all used for, etc. A GREAT Book to add to your library!

Great book very informative

This guide is divided into sections mainly based on colours which link to the chakras, so very useful to see what works on what. It also brings astrology into it as well so saying which astrological signs the crystals are good for.

Beautiful book, wonderful illustrations, packed with so much information.
