Las licuadoras Blendtec son sinónimo de calidad y excelencia y esta licuadora no es la excepción. La Blendtec PRO 800 es si no la más avanzada del mercado doméstico e incluso me atrevería a decir del comercial si está en el top 3. La calidad de los materiales es insuperable, la interfaz es avanzada ya que cuenta con una pantalla táctil con funciones preprogramadas que garantizan que tu preparación sea siempre consistente. Y su mayor atributo en específico de este modelo, su cubierta de acrílico es asombrosa, efectivamente aún introduciendo hielo para un Frappe, que en una licuadora normal sería sumamente ruidosa, en esta licuadora no se escucha casi nada, prácticamente tendrías que tener tu oído pegado a la licuadora para escucharlo. El costo es mucho mejor que en otros lugares. Y no hablar de la entrega de Amazon que siempre es excelente.

We owned a cafe and used these blenders relentlessly and they never gave us a single problem. Excellent quality.

We bought this after comparing countless reviews and visiting numerous websites that review high end blenders. It came down to choosing between Blendtec and Vitamix - two of the biggest names in the industry. Those who are loyal to each brand will tell you why one is better than the other. Head to head YouTube videos demonstrate how the Vitamix performs better when it comes to crushing ice and making smoothies without needing to add any water or juice to help with blending. That is made possible with the tamper which the Blentec blenders do not have. In the end, it came down to two factors: noise and cost. Vitamix sells a model called "The Quiet One" that comes with an enclosure case but only has a 3 year warranty and is intended for commercial use. The price is steep that comes in around $1,900. Our next choice was the Ascent A3500 but we could not imagine trying to tolerate running a noisy blender in the kitchen. Although there are aftermarket acrylic enclosures for sale, an educated guess as to why these are not endorsed is because they do not provide adequate ventilation and may cause the blender to overheat. We ended up ordering the Blendtec 800 Pro given its price point and low noise level. We have learned to make smoothies without needing a tamper by layering the ingredients in the recommended order: liquids on the bottom, soft stuff in the middle (veggies/fruits that are not frozen) and ice/frozen fruits on top. The proportion of the ingredients also matters - too much ice or frozen fruit and yes, you will need to stop and use a spatula/shake it up and use the ice crush function a few times until it starts to blend again. After about 2 months of use, we are very happy with this blender because we can talk in the kitchen while it runs. It is so easy to clean with warm water and a drop of dish washing liquid using the Smoothie function. It's been used to make lots of smoothies and we were able to also replicate the avocado milkshake that we usually order when eating out at our favourite Vietnamese restaurant. We'll update our review after we use it to make other things like soups, nut butters or icecream.
