Worked for 2 months
I loved it... for 2 months. It worked well and had no issues. The fact that it is really hard to find capsules and there are no other capsules that fit, was a pain. However, it did a good job. Then the sensor stopped working. There is a picture that says probe not detected. I have restarted it and tried everything I could find(Couldn't find much). Nothing has worked. This is a really expensive machine that is now useless. It won't even circulate water because of it.

Best countertop system if you love technology
I planted a mix of butter and baby lettuces 23 days ago. The promise on the seed packets was that I could harvest lettuce from seed in 23 days. Well it delivered! How it works: The Aspara circulates water between the grow bed and the reservoir (the black part of the system on the right). This ensures that the plants aren’t overwatered. The roots were bright white and healthy. Aesthetics: If you like the gardens that look like gadgets, then this is perfect for you. It’s very well built and the open design allows the plants to be the star. It’s like a picture frame around the plants. Size: It’s large enough to be a showpiece, but small enough not to be a nuisance. Some of my other countertop systems aren’t show stoppers. They’re more like living vases. That’s fine, but this is the one that your friends will envy you for 😂 Technology: Very friendly app and control panel. The ability to control the lights and switch between different types of lights is great. Also, the system measures humidity, temperature of the room etc. The continuous scrolling interface of the control panel is a nice upgrade to the other systems on the market. What to plant: Growing height is limited making this ideal for dwarf chilis, micro dwarf tomatoes, lettuce, radish and low growing greens. Cons: The only shortcomings it has are the lack of adjustable grow height and the fact that the units aren’t stackable. I think modular and stackable systems help with saving counter space. If this was stackable, I’d replace some of my other systems in a heartbeat. Lol Final thoughts: I actually think this system represents the future of hydroponic countertop systems.

cheap sensors and connections that rust buy something else

Would love it if sensor is more reliable
I would really like the aspara if it wasn’t so unreliable. It keeps saying water tank is disconnected when it’s not and sometimes it’s able to track nutrients and water levels and sometimes it doesn’t. There must be a sensor issue. I asked them to send me replacement and it’s doing the same thing. See pictures above, lettuce is at day 22. Update review 10/24/21 Second one malfunctioned just as much. Customer service tries to be helpful but only helpful with temporary fixes and the problems keep recurring and keep getting worse. Beyond frustrated with this thing, trash time.

It worked for 3 weeks
I had a difficult time connecting to WiFi and finally gave up after 8 attempts. It seem to working great for the first 3 weeks then I noticed my plants were dying. I cleaned out the container and refilled with distilled water. Then it said it was watering but no water entered the tank base or recycle back into the upright tank. Then it said add water but it was full. Then it said add 1 nutrient, I did then it said too much nutrients. So I dumped the water again and retried but it still was not working. I loss too many plants so I returned it for a full refund.

I love this system
Easy to assembled, gift able. The Smart feature is not very useful to me, I barely use app. Very nice unit. It's fun to watch food grow.

literally useless. Required supplies and parts are not only not included, they are unavailable.
Seed pods are listed for $140 each on the app, but also show as unavailable.

A nice looking unit that has no pods/seeds/nutrients to allow you to become an indoor gardener.
Just be aware that no seeds or even pods or nutrients come with your order. Expect to spend about $30 for pods and nutrients without the seeds to get started. The unit assembles and is built well. I have to wait for basic items to arrive before I can grow anything.
