meross Smart Garage Door Opener Remote Sensor (Not a Compatibility Accessory)

Excellent "Smart" home addition. Has worked very well for the 3 years I've had it installed on my 30 year old Stanley garage doors. See my review of the Meross module for more details. And I didn't mention it in the module review, but Alexa integration has also been excellent. Remote access for open/close/status from anywhere with your phone, and from Alexa while at home. Highly recommend this product and the seller.

It is easy to install but you need to be a little bit of a handy name to do it yourself. Need to plan the path of wires in advance of finalizing the ends. The length of wires is just enough to pull the wires properly to the center of the garage if you have 3 car garage. The main unit needs to be in the center garage to make it work. Once installed, it works great.

Great product

I added this for our 2nd and much older Genie Screw Drive garage door. This makes it easier to get the door open from outside as there is no remote or keypad for this door. Just be prepared to run the wires that come with it. From the Meross garage door unit on the first garage door, you need to string wire to the 2nd garage door for the sensors, and then the other wire to the opener itself. Luckily, I was able to run this above the garage ceiling and over and down to where it needed to be without much other installation for the wires. I was assuming you would wire the sensors to the opener and then there would be some sort of wireless connection to the Meross garage unit. But all in all, it works as advertised and is a good investment.

Install took a few minutes and works without any errors.

Pair this (one or two of them) with the MSG200 for a 2 or 3-car garage. These cables are extremely long and I had no problem with them reaching to my other 2 garage doors. Just make sure you install the MSG200 controller on the MIDDLE garage door and then use these cables for the doors on either side. LOVE IT!

It gets the job done and works well but for me cable was little bit short because the way my garage doors set up a part.

At first there was a lot of back and forth with manufacturer since #1 door would not respond. I finally got it right by having the door sensor less than 1/8 inch abart for it to work. I did the same with the other two doors and that appeared to work. Then #1 door again would not respond. Again many emails to support -- Why? Is it the cable to the door or the controller? Manufacturer Troubleshooting process is inadequate. After re-installing the the app, re-installing the wifi and resetting the controller box several times, re-installing the new cable. Controller box was returned to Amazon, and replacement arrived within two days. Installed new controller box without problems -- Now (after 3weeks from original install) all three doors work.
