Essential and excellent accessory
Very flexible and adaptable system, will work in very many different settings or activities. The Tygon tubing is good quality and the fit of all the parts is good. Because of its modular nature, this filtration system is quite compact and lightweight. The price is quite affordable. Per its usual, Amazon will deliver to your doorstep at lightning speed, so overall a very satisfactory purchase.

Impressive and convenient water filtration
We used this bag and filter every day for a week of wilderness camping. I bought a second after being so pleased with this one. Flow rate is superb compared to competitor products. We had one or two days where an algae bloom heavily covered the surface water of the lake. We filtered water all week without problem. Backflushed easily on day 5 with clean water and was amazed to see the amount of algae and dirt that came from the back wash. Restored back to original flow rate. The bag is durable but I could see it getting damaged if not protected or stored properly. The water tasted good for the price point. Compact space saving design.

Awesome, it works, and gives you a lot of options
This filter is awesome, used it on a three day backpacking trip recently. No issues whatsoever. For everyone’s information however, the reservoir bag does not seal fully when filled. The top, although it folds nicely into a handle for carrying - which is amazing and super convenient - it does not prevent water from coming out the top if you, let’s say, put the bag down on the ground to get the straps adjusted or something. So the reservoir is not for carrying water for long distances, unless you’re prepared to always keep it upright and never put it down until you can hang it. Still super doable if you’re going short distances, it doesn’t spill when you’re holding it by the handle, just if you put it down on the ground while filled and it falls over. Other than that, this kit is awesome. Gives you the option of reversing the steps, instead of filtering the water into the small plastic water bottle pouch, you fill the plastic bag with the unfiltered water, screw the filter straw onto the pouch, and drink it directly out of the filter (basically a life straw). I think the bag might be half a liter that it comes with, so if you want a bigger pouch then you’ll have to order one. This is the way I’ve seen most through hikers using it, usually with the sawyer filter setup. But this filter gives you both options, filter the clean water from the reservoir into the plastic flexi pouch or any other bottles you want, or collect the unfiltered water into the flexi pouch, attach the filter directly to the pouch, and drink through the filter. Super lightweight, condenses into a really small volume, durable (I carried water in the reservoir for more than 5 miles, by hand, leaning it against a tree when I had to put it down, and the material held up). We used it for three days and that was more than two weeks ago, long enough for any water born sicknesses to have shown if it didn’t work. Great purchase.

Great filter but may have issues in cloudy/muddy water
Great filter purchased for extended wilderness camping trip that functioned as needed. Only reason for not getting 5 stars was how quickly the filter on it seemed to silt up and slow down. The creek where we filled up with was a clear high mountain stream and we were careful not to muddy the water as we filled the bag so it’s not like there was a heavy amount of silt needing to be filtered out. I’m sure if we were using it in a muddier faster moving river like the Colorado or something the filter would have been even harder to use. In the long run, my family of four got all our drinking water for the majority of our trip through this filter and no one got sick which is the main thing. The fact that it got slow and harder to use I was a slight in convenience but, in the long run and acceptable issue given its functionality.

Travel WIN!!!!
Came home from Uzbekistan with the worst case of what my grandma used to call the “gogo-amago” ever. Figured it either came from carelessly rinsing iur toothbrush in tap water, or eating a fresh fruit washed in tap water. Made an advance plan for our next trip to a third world country. No salads. No fruit unless we washed it ourselves. No smoothies unless they used bottled water. Don’t use room water provided unless we saw them filter it ourselves. Have a plan in place to provide so we won’t dehydrate and for tooth brush. This little gizmo is AMAZING. It is lightweight, super easy to pack, easy to use once you get the hang of it, cheap to use, and saves tons of plastic. My only fear is, the straw part is very sturdy, and so far the bag part is, too, but it seems much more likely to wear out, crack, or get punctured (even though it’s a thick plastic) than the straw. I wish they’d include and extra bag or two, as well as instructions to clean and store straw and bag. Well worth what seems to be an initial “investment”. Other travelers were jealous, and asked for details. Will be packing it for our next trip, to rural Morocco. Wouldn’t dream of traveling without it now. Has earned a spot in our minimal packing. Os: bought extra straws, but it seems like these things last forever. Hope we’ll get to travel enough to use the extras!

An efficient, lightweight, and fast water filtration system.
This is a great water filtration system for camping. For those who are used to pumping to get clean water, this will be a pleasant revelation. For those who have used other gravity feed systems this will be an inexpensive and surprisingly quick alternative. I recently used this on a 4 day backpacking trip and love it. Here are a few highlights: 1. The feed back is lightweight, flexible, and fills to 1.5 gallons in one scoop of lake water. (BTW, don't fill it all the way to 1.5 gallons--it'll work better at about 1.25 gallons.) My friend is going to purchase the bag simply because it's so much easier and more efficient than the bag his (very expensive) system came with. 2. The filter has a bigger barrel than my Sawyer, and thus flows at about twice the speed. 3. The filter can be back flushed with the provided collapsible bottle--no need to bring along a syringe for back flushing. 4. The hanging system (also provided) is high quality and works great. Here's what I don't know: 1. My friend and I suffered no symptoms of waterborne illness, but the flow rate was so strong when we first started using the system that I was worried that it might not be filtering. What can I say? I guess I'm suspicious because it worked so well! The flow rate did decrease on the 4th day (after filtering about 11 gallons of water). But even the reduced rate was similar to my Sawyer filter. 2. The instructions didn't say anything about back flushing. I went ahead and back flushed when I got home, since every other filter I've used makes some provision for cleaning/flushing. I don't think it damaged it, but don't know for sure. I'd love someone from the company to respond to that question.

Quality is great! Water tastes wonderful.
Husband and sons recently went on a 2 day hiking and camping trip. They took this waterdrop system and were so pleased. They mentioned it was the perfect size to fill and distribute water to individual bottles. Great tasting water, very easy to fill and use. Plus, cleaning was easy. Overall built strong and durable, great to take for that hiking trip!

Great buy! Easy to drink & does not leak!!
My husband & I do a lot of camping or hiking or just being outside & this works great! I had a backpack one but sucking the water out of it was a task lol. This one flows easily & it doesn't leak when turned to off.
