Zoo Med Laboratories AZMFA50 Sinking Ceramic Betta Log 4.25 inche

I have a African Dwarf frog in a ten gallon tank. I also own other larger tanks. I love bettas and plan on getting another one son. I already own two floating Betta logs. When I saw this one, I knew I wanted to add it to my collection of aquarium accessories that I keep on hand to rotate from time to time. I put this in the tank with the frog. He hasn't found it yet, but I'm sure he'll like it. This replaced a piece of PVC pipe I had in the tank and he loved swimming through it. I rinsed it out thoroughly when I received it, ensured there were no sharp edges and just put it in. It seems durable enough to last several years. It is made of a heavy plastic and does stay on the bottom of the tank without having to weight it down. In the tank, it nearly looks like a real piece of wood. Overall, a great purchase that I recommend without hesitation. It arrived promptly and exactly as described.

This log is a huge hit in our tank! My betta absolutely loves it—he’s constantly swimming through it like an obstacle course and uses it as his favorite spot for sleeping. It’s also been a great source of entertainment for my son, who loves watching him hang out in his little "tunnel." It’s rare to find an accessory that provides both a sense of security for the fish and so much fun for the family to watch. Definitely a five-star addition to his home!

This is a nice decoration. I haven't seen my Betta use it yet but that could just be his personality. There are no sharp edges inside or out. It's big enough for my Betta to fit in and it looks nice. Even though my Betta hasn't used it yet I still think it's a nice decoration for the price. I'm sure he'll come around eventually. Updated Review: I changed my rating from 5 stars down to 3 after I bought a second one of these. I liked the first one so much that I decided to buy another one for a different Betta tank but the second one had multiple sharp points/edged inside of the log. These edges were almost sharp enough to cut my own skin, I can only imagine what they would have done to a Betta's delicate fins. Thankfully all of the sharp points were inside of the log so I was able to sand them down and not detract from the quality of the log. It's still a nice decoration, just a shame that they aren't all made with care to ensure a safe environment for your Betta. The first one I got was perfect, nice and smooth all around, inside and out. Maybe you'll get lucky. Maybe you'll get one where you really have to inspect first and sand down really well before you use.

I am giving my little sister a 3 gallon Betta tank for Christmas since she loves helping me with my fish tanks so much, this little Betta log looks like it'll be a great hide for her Betta tank! The first time it came broken, but I got a new undamaged one within 4 days! Some people said the edges were sharp and needed sanding, but this one wasnt sharp or rough around the edges at all! (The ceremic would be easy enough to file down for a Bettas delicate fins though!) I like the appearance and size, really cute little hideout for a Betta! Or other smaller fish!

los huecos mas chiquitos tienen pequeñas imperfecciones "filosas" pero se caen pasandole el dedo, lo removi para evitar que se corte sus aletas asi que los que lo compren deberian remover ese defecto, literal es como una sobra del molde super delgada que se cae facil pero tiene un poco de filo para peces, de resto todo es suave y sin peligros

The log is perfect and as described. My beta loves it. Would recommend to other beta owners.
