Bought these as incremental weights on my adjustable dumbbells. Goal was to add 2.5 lbs, because my dumbbells only adjust at 5 lb increments. Got a pair of 4.9" magnets, they weigh 1.6 lbs each, and a pair of 3.2" magnets, which weigh 0.8 lbs each. So now depending on what I'm lifting, I can customize my 20 lb dumbbell to 21.6, 22.4, or 24.2 lbs by attaching these magnets. They're strong magnets so I don't have to worry about them falling off while I lift, but I can slide them off the end easy enough.

So I listened to all the reviews about these not being that strong and not 200lb pull. I decided to put them together and that was a mistake, ended up pinching my middle finger pretty bad and took me a good 15 minutes to pry them apart. These magnets are very, very strong and I advise you not put them together.

I had a magnetic light bar on the roof of my car for work. I had four 95 lb magnets on it. I could go 80 mph on the highway and it would stay put. That is until a huge dust devil appeared out of no where and sucked it off the roof and destroyed it. I bought a new light bar and put these 200 lb magnets on it. I don't really feel a difference between the 95 lb and 200 lb when I take off the bar. That tells me these are 100 lb magnets each for a total of 200 lbs of pull. Kind of a misleading description. They stick well and cost the same as the 95 pounders I had, but I was hoping they were 200 lb each. Good enough for 80 mph. I just need to find a radar detector for dust devils now.

Exactly what I needed for the job

When I opened the box I was shocked to see that each of these magnets are the size of my hand with my fingers spread! I have to admit that 4.9 inches was a lot smaller in my head when I ordered these. These magnets are huge and they are incredibly strong! I have been fascinated by magnets since I was a kid and I still am! I bought these as a novelty because I collect magnets, and these are the biggest and strongest ones I have.

I bought this magnets, to make a good pair of temporary single lights. When I opened the box of the magnet, I walked over to my metal trailer & the magnet grabbed onto the steel. It took a bit to pull it off. Very pleased for once! I highly recommend these magnets!
