I wash my dog with it, he smells like apples afterwards. His fur is smooth and silky. I do wash my hair with it sometimes too, no complaints, it does the job. Scent is fresh and delicious.

First off, Mane N Tail is a good product for certain hair types. It does clean and strengthen as advertised, but it doesn't suit all hair types. This is true for most shampoos and conditioners. If you have dry or brittle hair, I would NOT recommend this product as it lacks moisturizing properties. Additionally, if you have color-treated hair, this might not be the best choice since it fades color faster than some other products. However, it does strengthen hair as promised; I’ve noticed my hair is stronger than before. I wish the company would expand their product line to cater to more hair types, but we’ll have to wait and see. My suggestion is to carefully read the label to ensure it matches your hair type before using it.

So I’m sensitive to too many things in shampoos, like scents; like whatever it is that makes my skin itch. I figured years ago if this shampoo is safe enuf for horses (who have surprisingly sensitive skin), it was safe enuf for me. I guess it is not glamorous enuf for a lot of ladies, so I had to turn to Amazon when retailers stopped selling it. I also use it for my body wash. And, bonus, it is not so expensive!
