Review: Tripping The Light Fantastic - Used in my bathroom as a finisher item after renovation. Simple to install, just attach it to a power ceiling connection by turning it like a jar lid onto the fitting, once it's wired up. Ample pull cable length for the higher ceilings and adjustable for lower ones. Made of strong plastic construction (I chose black to offset white marbling) and comes in te stabdard fitting size at a good price. It looks great and I'm happy I chose this.

**Q: 45 amp shower pull switch in chrome**
A: This is a light switch. It's not suitable for a shower fitting.

**Q: how is the 15 year guarantee works?**
A: don't know about the 15 year warranty but mine is much better than the one from homebase which i replaced with this one. it looks better and is far cheaper and more to the point still works.

**Q: What size is the base. It says 14cm x 13.6.  ( 6 inches x 6 inches approx )That seems quite big. Are these measurements correct.**
A: Hi Janmac, just checked my item, which I have not put up yet. Mine is the 10amp 2-way pull cord switch sold by Bamford Trading and is the Knightsbridge 8300. The exact size is a diameter of 74mm and a height of 36mm, so don't know where you got your measurements from. Believe me this a standard size and looks good. Hope this helps. Derek

**Q: Can this be used replace a fitting where fan and light come on together, and how far apart are the ceiling mounting screw holes?**
A: Yes  it can be used to replace the old fitting   .
The screw mounting holes are around 2inch apart.

This was straightforward to fit in place of the old white fitting, and looks way better. It feels solid and has a satisfying clunk when you pull it. The dark coloured cord is nice (especially compared to a grubby white one!) but I replaced it with an antique brass beaded cord and a heavier pull because it's for our porch light and I wanted something a bit more decorative.
